“Great stay with a couple of issues”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 days ago NEW via mobile

Stayed here for a week with my husband. We stayed in a sea facing suite and before our arrival we asked to be on a high floor which was accommodated without any issue. Staff were very helpful and friendly upon checkin and overall everyone was very polite and friendly.

Unfortunately our stay had a couple of sour notes. We'd run short on smaller $ bills when we arrived so when our bags were taken to our room we weren't able to tip as much as we would normally. My husband handed over a few $ to the bellboy who helped us with our bags to our room, and was about to explain this and say we'd cat h him again later, but before he got a chance the bellboy was pretty rude and sarcastic about his tip...needless to say he didnt get anything else from us!!

Room was spotless. Maid service superb.

The hotel is perfectly placed on the beach at the quieter end of the resort. We lovely that you could use the hotel's complimentary towels and chairs to chill out on the quieter beach area. Its also perfectly placed for enjoying the zoo and the aquarium. Visited both and would recommend.

We didn't experience any real problems with noise. Cant recommend a sea view room enough - loved watching the sunsets on our balcony with a cocktail before heading out at night.

Upon our departure we took advantage of the hotels secure room to store our cases snd the complimentary freshen-up room. The freshen-up room was very busy so if you plam to use this give yourself plenty of time to wait on your turn.

Secure room for cases was helpful but on departure my husband accidentally left behind an expensive sweater Id bought him as an anniversary gift. It was sat in the room while he collected our cases and he forgot to pick it up. When I contacted the hotel to organise it being sent on they advised it wasn't in the secure room, which I found disappointing as the room is secure and I'd not have expected another guest or staff to take something that wasnt their property. Obviously dont know what happened to the sweater but I think it would be good for the hotel to have looked into this further than they did.

Overall though great holiday but cannot give the hotel 5 stars because of the issues we experienced above.

My wife and I spent our First wedding anniversary at Park Shore back in Oct 2013!! it was our first visit to Hawaii and hanging to get back this year!!
The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, and the hotel room was perfect with an amazing view
Also it was a prefect distance from the restaurants with a nice walk after the monstrous feeds haha, with starbucks and a nice little cafe directly below for alight breaky.
Have already recommended to friends and had them stay here liking it just as much!!

Room Tip: the higher the better with ocean facing rooms

A good hotel just off the Waikiki Beach strip. Close to shops and restaurants. The rooms are clean and comfortable but are basic for the price. Suggest ask for room on a high floor away from the pool, as music is played in the pool area. The lower floors are also susceptible to traffic noise. Meals can be bought at a restaurant on the 2nd floor but as it is also a bar it can be noisy. Hotel has free WiFi.

Nice clean hotel on the beach, a bit cheaper than some of the other options out there. It is down the other end of the beach from the shopping area but it's only a 20 minute walk.
There is a pool but we didn't go there as the sea is right outside the door. You can borrow towels from reception.
We often got freshly squeezed green juices from the cafe that joins on to the lobby.

This is our last night of an 11 night stay and i have not found anything that has not been good. The room was perfect with a partial view of the water and city, just what I had asked for. Mahalo Jara. Everyone is so accommodating and welcoming. My thanks to Michele, Jasamine, and Desaire for all their kindness and help. To the Manager: you have a complete staff that reflects great on you and the hotel. I hope you are very proud. You all made our 20th anniversary a memorable one. We hope to be back in two years. Look forward to seeing you all then
Debbie and Manny

Room Tip: Get a higher up room, but not too high

We stayed four nights at the Park Shore Hotel on the 5th floor with views over the pool and beach. The room was relatively small but nicely renovated with a small balcony with room for two chairs. The L shaped building meant balconies were quite open and visible to other guests.

Pool area was nice but seemed as though there were very few other ammenities on offer. Hotel was directly opposite Waikiki Beach with the beach area seeming to be less crowded then further down the strip which was excellent.

Our travel agent made us aware that we were at the far end of the main section of Waikiki. However the walk was less than 30 minutes with plenty to see and enjoy to get to the opposite end of the main resorts. The Aqua Hotels free bus service to the mall and other Aqua hotels enabled access to other areas of Waikiki without having to walk as far.

There is free wifi which worked fine the first night but hotel staff could not fix when i had problems and directed me to tech support instead.

An enjoyable experience for four nights but an extended stay in Waikiki would not be for us.

Hotels location is great for Waikiki. Just across from Queens Beach and the views are amazing of Diamond head and the ocean. Room are very average 3*. This place is all about the view, the value and the location! Good sushi place in lobby and Lulus restaurant is supposed to be good but I didn't try.
