Had previously stayed at this property before it was taken over by the Aqua Resort chain and renovated. The location opposite Waikiki beach is the absolute best and the renovated rooms are light and airy although not very large. However, the location and price does make up for the size and the front desk personnel were very nice and accommodating when we asked for late check-out. We were also there for the weekly Manager's "Meet & Greet" with free refreshments one evening which was a pleasant surprise. Pool are could be spruced up a bit and the elevators do appear to be in need of a bit of an upgrade - but they worked and never had long to wait for them. Starbucks just around the corner is nice to frequent even though there is free coffee supplied in the room. Unfortunately, our small fridge froze the milk we bought for our in-room coffee and there did not appear to be any way to change the setting on the mini-fridge. All in all though a good location - wonderful "coffee table" book on the Hawaiian Islands - would love to buy one to take home. Cost not bad for location.
