“A great hotel in a great place.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 days ago NEW

This hotel is outstanding, spacious rooms, comfortable beds and a staff that is second to none. You walk out of the hotel, cross the street and you are on the beach. Obviously on Waikiki you are near numerous restaurants and bars, and anything else you might be looking for. The Honolulu Zoo is also across the street. I hope I can stay at this hotel again soon.

Coming from the hectic life of Las Vegas, this hotel's location was a perfect getaway for our family, my son was right in picking Park shore, yes there is some road noise but then this is the kinda last hotel on the northern side of the strip, so on your balcony not only the ocean view wen joyed but the perfect view for Diamond head and State Park which is next to the Honolulu zoo. It's a great walking distance to restaurants and shopping area. Downstairs in the lobby, I enrolled my 17 yr old son to their 2 hours Surfing lesson for a good reasonable price & he had the best time of his life according to him. I know he did, coz I've watch him the whole time he was surfing with the rest of the group. We upgraded to 12 th floor from the 5th floor, the sound of the ocean waves were music to my ears and the singing birds are my alarm clock in the morning. Starbucks is right outside 12 steps from the hotel lobby, the Lulu's restaurant above the Starbucks has reasonable price menu.
We've asked for towels and chair for the beach each time, sometimes we go 2-3 times a go and return it afterwards. We decided to rent car on our 3rd day after we explore the strip by walking around, yes the valet fee is $25.00/day but we go in and out of the hotel 2-3x a day, parking then is not a problem when we had someone parking our car for us, beside we got a good deal of $26.00/ day @ Alamo car rental.

Overall, we are definitely coming back to Park shore hotel in our next Trip to Hawaii.

Room Tip: Pick 7th floor and up for great view

We'd expected two queen beds. The manager explained that a standard room is a room without a beach view and with two double beds or a king. While some staff smiled through clenched teeth, some were great, like Violet, who was extremely helpful

BIG PROBLEM with the shuttle service that the Park Shore Waikiki referred guests to in the welcome email. Speedi shuttle is more expensive than a taxi if there are more than two riders. Our ride to the hotel included an expert and knowledgeable trainer who knew her way around Waikiki and attempted to guide the driver on his first run. We are unsure why Speedi shuttle does not assign new drivers to shadow competent drivers and learn where the hotels are prior to driving. The trip to the hotel was a nightmare. Furthermore, having let ourselves be talked into a round trip payment at a slight reduction, before even boarding the shuttle, we were dismayed that their credit card machine did not function and we had to use cash. This left no way to get out of the return trip.

People walk in and out of the open and breezy lobby, tracking sand and water, and spilling their Starbucks or Tucker and Bevvy purchases on the carpets. It is to the hotel staff's credit that they keep the carpets as clean and dry as they do.

The Park Shore location is ten steps from Starbucks, Tucker and Bevvy, two ABC stores, the beach, Lulu's, and a block from Tiki at the Westin.Public buses and shuttles are no more than a block. The gentle beach across the street from the hotel is excellent for small children.

We would definitely stay here again (and arrive by taxi or public bus, NOT Speedi shuttle).

Room Tip: Speak directly to the hotel to get an accurate description of your room.

My wife and I spent one night here before flying out in the morning to Maui, we pulled in got out rental valet parked as $25 is well worth the headache avoidance of a parking ticket let alone the car getting vandalized &/or getting broken into. We were greeted with friendly smiles and alohas! Check in was very fast and easy, we were also upgraded to a partial ocean view room on the 18th, the room was decent, clean, a/c working just fine, clean beds, lines and bathroom as the wife is very particular to all of this. Although the room was a "partial" ocean view the balcony near the elevators and ice machine had an amazing view looking over the ocean, Honolulu zoo and Diamond Head. We walked outside to explore and all the expected stores and shops just within walking distance. Overall great experience and would see myself staying here again.

Room Tip: Recommend to get up I the higher floors if not the 18th and book a ocean view room to enjoy the sigh...

Just completed a 7-night stay with my wife and 4 kids (ages 12-17). This isn't Trump Tower or the Hilton, but it doesn't pretend to be.
It's perfectly located at the "quiet" end of Waikiki and as others have noted, is directly across from the Honolulu Zoo and beach. The hotel is clean and the amenities are above average. Customer service is where this hotel shines! They know you by name, always greet you with a smile and bend over backwards to make your stay enjoyable. I had an issue with one of my rooms on check-in which, even though the hotel was fully booked, was handled with a smile and to my satisfaction. Needed a roll away bed (no charge BTW) and more towels.....in 10 minutes someone was at the door. This hotel appreciates your business and the staff is uniformly friendly and efficient.
Perfect place for those with kids.....has concierge in lobby to book activities (most hotels do) and there are many dining options literally steps from the hotel door. Starbucks, Tucker & Bevy (for fresh smoothies and good sandwich options), LuLu's restaurant (kids loved their breakfasts), Wolfgang Puck Express, Subway, Teddy's Big Burger to name a few. There is also a Sushi place in the hotel lobby.
Valet parking is the only option but I never had to wait long for my car. Charge is $25/day, which is reasonable in any city.
I would definitely stay at the Park Shore again if/when we return to Oahu.

My husband and I spent 17 nights @ Park Shore Waikiki and we just loved it. The staff was friendly, helpful, authentic and absolutely sincere. We got an upgrade on the 2nd day (Mahalo again for this :)) and had a very nice partial (amazing) sea-view room with a lanai on the 11th floor. It was always clean and we slept very well in the king-size bed. We couldn't be happier with our choice and we were extremely sad leaving this place.
The location is perfect for Honolulu, it is very close to nice restaurants like Duke's (Mahalo for the tip for the Hula Pie and the Tropical Itch ;)), Cheesecake Factory or Roy's. The shopping possibilities are also very close. We even rented a car at the hotel and used it for a whole week so we could explore the whole island.
We would always choose this hotel again and we recommend it to everyone visiting O'ahu. Aloha

Enjoyed my stay at park shore.
the good: great location, nice views of diamond head and beach from lanai. We liked having coffee each morning on the balcony. Coffee machine in room, but better coffee downstairs in the lobby provided each morning for free. Also in the afternoon, free juice. Refreshing on a hot day.
Next door at tiki's great fish and chips.
Valet parking was $25/day, but was very efficient. No resort fee.
Comfy bed.
Room rate was reasonable compared to other hotels.
they provide beach towels and chairs to use at no charge.

the so-so: We were on 16th floor, but still a lot of noise from traffic and buses, even with the balcony door closed.
Room is a little on the small size, but works fine for me. We didn't spend a lot of time hanging out in the room.
