The Ilikai is a good family hotel, with spacious rooms, (my young girls could even do their gymnastic moves!) they don't make them like this anymore. Check-in was no hassles, hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The Ilakai has a great location, close to Ala Moana Shopping Centre and away from the histle and bustle of central Waikiki . I stayed at the Ilikai over 40 years ago when my family lived in Honolulu .....though nearly 50 years old it is well matained and still has a 'retro feel'. I 'm sure I saw Jack Lord (Hawaii 50) travelling the elevator to the Penthouse ; ) . The only dissapointing thing was that the pool clsed at 7.30pm.
