Have stayed over before on our way to interisland and stayed closer to the airport in the past. It was worth the travel to Wakiki. The hotel had clean rooms, in much better shape than I expected for the amount of traffic they must get. It was in a good location. Walked to dinner and drinks that night and along the beach the next morning. We included the breakfast in our room package and what a nice surprise! The selection was from a special menu but we felt that it was a more than adequate choice for the rate. Would definitely stay again.

We came to Hawaii to totally relax and we could do that at this hotel. The staff were all very friendly and housekeeping did a great job. The beds were comfortable and the room was a good size. The 24/7 MAC restaurant served some pretty good food, and it was nice knowing it was there if you were hungry late at night. The pool are was nice, it has a bar and some nice sun beds to lie on, and there is a complimentary business centre with free printing and internet.

Tip - If you can, splurge on an ocean view room, the view at sunset from the balcony is incredible though as the hotel is not right on the beach, you do get a building or two interrupting your view

Mahalo for the great comments and it is great to hear you had a chance to relax while in beautiful Waikiki!

MAC 24/7 is a local favorite and is it on the upside that it is open 24 hours a day. We say it doesn't close unless it snows.

Hope you had safe travels home. Aloha!

Love the location of this hotel on Kuhio Lobby is beautiful and they often have live bands in the bar. Interesting pool on the 10th floor; great gym also. Hotel and rooms have been redone in a funky mod way- very appealing. Nice bathrooms and balconys. Fun, energic restaurant Mac 24/7. Nice breakfast for Hilton Honors members. Great staff. This is our go-to hotel on Honolulu about 4 times a year.

Our family of three stayed here in September. Rob from the front desk was amazing. He helped us throughout our stay. I recommend this hotel. It's modern and a quick walk to the beach. Although this is listed as a business hotel ...our 3 year old daughter got lots of attention from everyone!! We loved it!!!!

Room Tip: can't beat that beachfront view.

We appreciate the positive review. Thank you for your kind words about Rob - I will make sure to pass this on along to him.

We do have quite e few business travelers stay with us, so it is always a delight to see children enjoying their stay with us. I hope your daughter had as a good time as you did.

We hope that you choose to stay with us on your next visit to Hawai'i.

We stayed here for a week in mid December 2011 and loved it.

Whist the hotel is not a 5 star property it is a very good property and the staff are very attentive and friendly. PROS - great location (a short walk to the beach), great views (from the executive floors), comfy beds, good bathroom, 24 hour cafe and affordable rates considering some of the other hotels in the area. CONS - parking is expensive!!

I would recommend spending a little bit more for an executive level ocean view room. The views are amazing and you also get access to the executive lounge which provides breakfast and snacks in the evening (although don't expect the usual "Hilton" standard executive lounge as the lounge is in the basement and you have to pay for alcohol).

We will be back!

I need to state that as a diamond member we frequent all categories of Hilton Hotels. We stayed at this property because I was not interested in staying at the Hawaiian Village and wanted to try another property. Our room was relatively clean, though I did have to mention that there was mold in the shower. The manager made sure that it was taken care of, however when I am informed that this is a higher end hotel, I expect cleaniness to be a top priority. Because I spend so much money and time in hiltons, I earn points. These points entitle the diamond member to perks. At this particular property there is an executive lounge where continnental breakfast is offered. The lounge was minimalist at best, and the options for breakfast were the same every day. Scrambled eggs made for many does not lend itself to quality. There were no magazines or newspapers. I have stayed at different Hiltons brands in Europe and the US, and this was below what I have grown to expect from a Hilton

The location was fine, 2 blocks from the beach. Towels are provided. I saw one hotel provided both towels and chairs for their guests to take to the beach, and I thought to myself, why was that not the same at the Hilton. If you walked down the beach about a mile you could rent a beach chair for $3.00 a day, however be sure that you pass the stall where the chairs are $40.00 a day. You will walk towards the west, and head towards the Outrigger and Embassy suites.

Parking at the Waikiki banyan is a $10.00 or 24 hours and is nex door to the Hilton. The Hilton charges $25.00 a day. There are some charges that I personally too high and the only option at the Hilton is to valet park for 25.00 a day

Other than these issues the property meet our needs. Great beds, big TV and helpful personnel and overall a good location. We went to a concert at the Waikiki Bowl and it was with in walking distance. There trolley and bus stops are close by. As long as you go, knowing what to expect, you will not be disappointed. This is a no frills hotel. I would not bring children here, since this particular hotel did not appear to cater to families with children.

Room Tip: Higher floors are not bothered by the street noise.

We stayed at the HIlton Waikiki Beach (Prince Kuhio) on our first trip to Hawaii last month. We checked in to a King Ocean View room December 17th for 5 nights.
The hotel lobby is terrific- festively decorated, beautiful decor and lighting, and somehow it smells like fresh orchids all the time. The front desk staff was very efficient, friendly and helpful.
Our room was outstanding- great amenities in the bathroom, a huge glass-door shower, double sink and lots of counter space and shelves for storage. Ideal for a longer stay. The furniture was comfortable and contemporary, and the deck was ideal for relaxing and watching the surfers at Waikiki Beach a block away.
Speaking of location- this hotel is a block from the beach near Diamond Head. It was a perfect location for us- central to everything but still quiet.
Housekeeping was consistent and thorough, and all of the staff was super helpful and friendly.
What really put this over the top for us was the Lobby Bar and 24-hour restaurant. The bartenders at the lobby bar are two of the most sincere, friendly and fun ladies you could ever hope to meet. They are attentive, and make a mean drink! Happy hour from 5-7 was a reason to get back to the hotel :). The restaurant was reasonably priced, and again with great service and terrific food. It is open 24 hours. This is not one of those hotels with a $30 breakfast- great food and fair prices.
Highly recommended- we will be back!

Room Tip: Upgrade to the Ocean View- well worth the extra $!
