“Nice Location, Great Location Awesome Service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 19, 2011

The hotel is less than a block from the beach. So walking distance is so short. being one block back makes this location nice and quiet. There is an outdoor pool and Jacuzzi on the 10th floor. Staff is amazing. Rooms are nicely decorated. Food at restaurant is good. there is free wi fi by the pool and in the lobby. it would be nice for free wifi throughout, but it seems most hotels do not offer this.

We booked a Lu Au through the travel desk at the hotel and they recommended Paradise Cove. The guy at the desk said it was their best seller. We were disappointed with this experience and from what we have heard from other travellers, the other locations for Lu Aus are better.

I would have given sleep quality 5 stars, but the mattresses are a little lumpy

I have stayed at this hotel on multiple occasions and have loved every stay. It is in a great location and is a great value overall. I love the beds and the pillows. The bathrooms are nice. I would reccommend this hotel to anyone.

Stayed for 5 days in beautiful Hawaii in a great hotel with a wonderful staff. Everyone was helpful and courteous to every member of our tour group. We were pampered and made comfortable by every staff member we encountered. The rooms were clean, updated, and very utilitarian.
Th restaurant is a great plus for this hotel. They feature the Man v. Food pancakes. 4 - 15" pancakes with varied berries in each layer. Saw 5 people struggle to complete this. Outstanding!

Room Tip: Ask for an Ocean view. Worth it!!!

I was there for business meetings for one week, I enjoyed the beautiful view, the service, the cleanliness and the hotel's readiness and professionalism when we were asked to evacuate because of the Tsunami and earthquake in Japan. The evacuation was towards higher floors and the hotel was prepared with water and food for all hotel guests for 1 week. Thank God nothing happened. Great hotel.

Stayed at the Hilton Waikiki Beach for three nights in May. Was given a room with a good view of the beach and some of Diamond Head, which was nice. Quiet room.
Breakfast portions in the restaurant were a bit too large for me but better too big than not enough.
Friendly staff. Got help right away, when I had a problem with my safe.

I had to travel to Hawaii for a business last week. It was my first time to Hawaii and wanted to experience the island but knew my time would be limited to do so. I chose the Hilton Waikiki Beach. Located one block from the beach allowed me to spend a few hours through the week enjoying the sands and water. If time was short between meetings the pool area provided great place to catch a break. In the evenings the hot tub temperature was perfect to help put the long day behind. It is a short welcomed walk to the main thorough fair for evening entertainment. It is perfect because you can be in the middle of all Waikiki has to offer in less than three minute walk, but the distance is just far enough to keep your focus on the task at hand. The Hilton serves it business cliental well. The internet in the room is by Cat5 ether net cable (provided) and performed all I asked it to do. Through out the hotel public areas Wi-Fi is provide. The executive lounge is well appointed, several computer stations, plenty of multimedia and large tables. Evening fare provided was great. My hotel room had king size bed with soft comfortable linens, easy to get a good night sleep. The room is equipped with a large flat screen TV with all the connections easily accessible on wall not the back of the TV making it easy to use. The restaurant is open 24/7 and the full menu is available at all times. Coming from the east coast the internal time clock had me up very early and was great have a the option of a full meal available at 4am. The menu is best described as up scale diner. Everything from Mac and Cheese to perfectly seared Tuna. Staff is friendly and attentive making it a very enjoyable experience. Business or pleasure next visit I will be staying here again.

Room Tip: ask for beach side they all have balconies

My partner and i Just returned from a 3 week stay in Waikiki and stayed at the Hilton Waikiki Beach (Formerly the Hilton Prince Kuhio). This was the 3rd time in as many years that we have returned to this establishment.

Other reviews on here have pointed out all the wonderful properties that this hotel has from its great location to its beautifully decorated well sized rooms, nice pool area, complimentary business centre and gym.

The real tour de force of this hotel however is its employees from top to bottom. From Nick the deputy manager who sometimes mans the front desk and is only too willing to go out of his way to make sure that your stay is comfortable; to Myles and Shantel the resident “mixologists" behind the libations and hang 10 bars whose concoctions are completely irresistible and served with a smile. Our pallets say mahalo but our livers....maybe not so much

The mac 24/7 is a nice restaurant with a varied menu selection and the fact that it is 24 hours is just brilliant in terms of convenience. Again what makes it a delight to visit is that its folks go the extra mile to make your dining experience a pleasure whether eating in or taking back to your room. Special mention goes to my man Peter.

House keeping is also very thorough, professional and extremely friendly no matter who was on duty.

We also got to meet the General Manager of the hotel (Kevin)on this occasion who actually invited guests to join in a staff function/lunch at the pool area which was a very nice gesture and everytime we saw him after that he still took the time to stop and chat for a lil while.

The hotel now also offers live music in the lobby Wednesday through Saturday evening from 6-9.00pm which is a lovely addition. Our favourite group was The Sunways who play Thursday and Fridays although all the featured artists were great

All in all we love visiting Honolulu and we absolutely adore this hotel.
