I went diving with Alex based on the excellent reviews that he has on TripAdvisor, so I feel it's only fair to share my own experience. Alex picked my boyfriend and me up early in the morning for our dives. We were the only two divers that he had for the day. He shares a boat with other companies, but was able to stay clear of the others during the dives. We were given new equipment to use and free dive computers, which I've never gotten from any other company before. Our first dive was a wreck site where we went to a maximum depth of 120 ft. I'd only been down to 60 ft. previously, so I was a bit nervous about it, but he showed us that there was nothing to worry about! Also, the only reason that we were able to go that deep is because Alex is a master instructor, the highest level of dive instructors. Other companies won't take you that deep without an advanced open water certification. Alex was great about finding and pointing out a lot of sea creatures throughout the dives. He also took pictures and posted them for us for free. After our second dive he gave us towels to dry off with and warm towels heated with hot water from a thermos to warm us up. It felt amazing and was a really nice touch! The final thing that really made him stand out, was that we accidentally left our camera on the boat and he went back to the pier later that afternoon and returned it to us without even accepting an additional tip for the effort. He really does a lot to make it a good experience. He's doing this all on his own and it sounds like it's getting harder and harder to make a living off of diving, since there are so many other companies to compete with. With his experience and low prices, this is definitely the best value of diving that you can get. Highly recommended!
