“Take a picture and visit the palace”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2013

Would not have stopped but the statue is across the street from the palace. We snapped a picture and moved on. Make sure you have other plans in the area, not worth a solo trip.

“It is a statue...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2013 via mobile

I thought the statue was nice and as a visitor was compelled to visit. We stopped on our way back from Pearl Harbor as the chatty guy sitting next to us on the bus was driving my girlfriend crazy. We also walked across the street to the palace grounds but skipped the tour..$23 per person...really??!!

“King Kamehameha”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2013

We made a point of seeing this statue as we had seen the one in Washington D.C. and the one on The Big Island and we wanted to be able to see we had seen all three. There is some cool history behind the statues.

Check it out while visiting Iolani Palace which is right across the street.

“Not worth making a trip to see”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 24, 2013

We heard some of the history about this guy, but just happened to come across the statue while driving around one day. It's not that large or impressive, so I wouldn't tell anyone to go out of their way to see it, but if you're in the neighbourhood, I guess you could stop by and say hello.

“Don't miss this piece of history!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2013

Take a walk around the city and enjoy some of the history and the free sites. This is one and it is quite grand. After all...he is the reason the islands are united.
