To begin with I chose E Noa Tours over some of the other larger tours because all of their tours are 25 people or less compared to the big tour buses that some of them use! It's so much more enjoyable with a small group of people as opposed to 100+ people. And E Noa specializes in Oaho tours only, no other islands, so they really know their stuff!
I did the Royal Circle Island Tour in July and it was fantastic!!! First and foremost, we had the best tour driver ever and his name was Noa!!! Noa had us in stitches from the very beginning! Shortly after we started out on our tour someone hit the bus from the back on the highway. Long story short, after filing a report with the cops, he told us that another bus would be coming to replace ours. Everyone's concern on the bus was that we didn't want another driver! He assured us he'd still be our driver, we'd just be switching buses.
The tour itself was wonderful!!! The Circle Island tour stops at the Dole Plantation with plenty of time to get a bite to eat or have one of their Pineapple Soft Serves, as well as to shop around their gift shop.
We saw or stopped at all the beaches up on the North Shore and on down the east side of the island.
We stopped at a Macadamia Nut Farm where we could sample coffees and different flavors of Macadamia Nuts as well as purchase them in their gift shop. It was a very cute little place. We then took a boat out onto the large fish pond that is there.
Noa was very knowledgeable about the history of the island and its people. The guy I sat next to and I both were commenting on how Noa was not only very funny but was very informative as well. We sure learned a lot on this tour!
We stopped and had a no host lunch at a restaurant that was once owned by Don Ho's mom. Food was very good and was a very pretty setting (on a golf course!).
From there we made some other stops (i.e. Pali Lookout, Hanauma Bay) before we headed back to Waikiki.
This is an all day tour and well worth every penny! If you haven't been to Oahu or haven't seen it for many years, this is the way to go, especially if you don't have a car!
Noa really made this tour!!! I might be going back to Honolulu in September and I'm tempted to do another tour with Noa since I had such a great time!! I would recommend asking which tours Noa is doing when you make your reservation. You won't be disappointed!!!
