“San Souci Beach Is Paradise At The Foot Of Diamond Head”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 22, 2014

Take a walk toward Diamond Head. You will find a lovely protected deep sand beach at the foot of Diamond Head. San Souci Beach is the only beach where we went swimming during our month long stay in Waikiki. We liked the quiet laid back vibe of this beach. The busy Waikiki beaches are fun for a beach stroll. But, San Souci beach was perfect for hanging out. If, you find that you are getting too much sun, you can hang out at the beautiful Kapiolani Park directly behind the beach.

“dig me beach ?”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2014

plenty of parking if you are willing to walk a little with more free parking on the other end of Kapiolani Park is usually easier to find than right by the beach
Hey it's Hawaii and you can always use a little exercise right?
stop and take some killer photos on the way to and from the beach with Diamond Head in the background
all along the gold coast just past Waikiki congestion is a series of beach areas to choose from
Sunset views can be pretty amazing
bring some food drinks and tan protection and spend the day
Just keep in mind you folks that the sun in Hawaii is way more intense and drink so as not to dehhydrate and most of all enjoy some of the most amazing and pleasant beach space in Hawaii (North Shore still trumps all for me)

“Lovely Sunset”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 13, 2013

Came to this beach for something different than Waikiki. It's a little less crowded and quieter and the water is good for some more secluded swimming and snorkeling. We stayed to watch the sunset and enjoy the beautiful view!

Great option that isn't so far from Waikiki (15-20 minute walk or a quick bus ride) and close to Diamond Head! Not a bad idea to pair the two together. Water's refreshing after the hike!

“Decent snorkeling on Waikiki”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 19, 2013

We went there the other day after kids finished school. Free parking in front of it if you get lucky.
Life guard on duty, sheltered from the waves, we saw a decent bunch variety of fish while snorkeling. Showers, did not try the bathrooms. Much less crowded than the rest of Waikiki.
