“The Quiet end of Waikiki”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 27, 2012

For a break from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki Central wander down to Sans Souci. There is shade neaby and the beach has the best snorkeling in this area. Showers and toilets are present as is a Lifeguard Tower. Lots more locals here so wander down and have a look, its a great walk along the beach under the trees in the park.

“Close to Waikiki, but laid-back”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2012

On Waikiki Beach you have to step over and around bodies in search of a small patch of sand for your towel. But, just 15 minutes walk from the south-east end of the Waikiki shoppng strip (just past the Honolulu Aquarium - worth a visit) you come to Sans Souci Beach, a modestly-sized area of fine sand with plenty of space to spread out. Entering the water is easy, plenty of relaxed swimming near shore, and okay snorkeling farther out. If you want a calm day at the beach, this is for you.

“Nice city beach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2012

In the neighborhood of the Diamond head part of Waikiki, at the feet of the tall buildings, this beach is a little treasure. Calm and gentle waves and not too crowded. There's one or two terraces where you should definitely have a drink, mango or lilikoi old fashion soda, under the shadow of the old trees... There, you are a different person, sailing the warm seas to finally discover why planet earth is worth it !

Not as busy as Waikiki! Great for swimming; lots of local families enjoying the calm water. Nice sunsets from the beach.

“Memories”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2012

Growing up in Hawaii, San Souci was always a spot where the ohana would go for a day at the beach. Ther was the hibachi going, volleyball net up and a game going on, and everyone having fun.
