“Serene walk through Paradise in the midst of busy downtown Honolulu”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 2, 2013

The price of admission is worth it, to see the lush tropical plants and tall trees that provide shade and oxygen. There are benches to stop and rest, and maybe bring a bento (lunch box) to enjoy during your leisurely stroll through the gardens. Be sure to visit the orchids in their hot house. The butterflies hover nearby the entrance to that place. if you like cattelya and dendrobiums, stop by to get a smell of those delicacies. Did you know that orchids had a sweet smell like no other?

“Meditative Fun”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

I loved the gardens, they have paths and places to sit along the path. The trees and plants were nice to look at, the flowers were amazing! The gardens are small and there is a small fee to enter, but I was there taking a class on lei making. They have lots of classes like growing vanilla and such. The gardens are bordered by the freeway, but I convinced myself that the sound of cars was a rushing river. LOL

5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

Even if you are not into horticulture a walk through this beautiful gardens is well worth the time & experience. It is well marked & you will see many different unusual plants & unbelievable flowers. We were not sure about touring this to begin with but so glad we did take the time to do just that.

“The Orchid house is spectacular and well done”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

It was wall to wall orchids and palms of every kind known to people plus some. There is a beautiful fountain with small fish to complete the soothing ambiance in there. The tiny geckos that wonder the garden are adorable. Some will stop and wait for their pictures to be taken. Even the entrance to the garden had beautiful potted plants of all sorts and colors. They did a very good job with this place and it is worth definitely worth seeing. It is very close to Chinatown so it is great place to walk around to work off a large dim sum brunch. There are benches for those who need to stop and "look at the scenery for a while".

“Time your visit.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 20, 2013

January may not be the best time to visit this garden. Very little blooming. Needed a clean up. Clearly we visited before spring cleaning. Still a pleasent outdoor walk. Good signage and sel guided tour.
