“Did not allow enough time”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2013

We went to the museum via the trolly and really did not allow enough time to really see it all. We are planning to return on a future visit. The planetarium is great, though not as amazing as going up to Mauna Kea.

“Alook back in culteral history”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2013

A must see attraction in beautiful Honolulu. Make sure you have a few hours to spare. Take a little time to watch the art of the hula. Wonderful and knowledgeable staff. Awesome displays of the past history of the islands. Hands on displays and wheel chair accessible.

A natural history museum that offers the best introduction to the culture of Hawaii and the Pacific. Also a good planetarium show

“A trip through Polynesia”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2013

The museum is fascinating. The day I visited, a story teller had the group entranced. I spend hours there whenever I go. The cafeteria is small, but the food is good, so one can pause to eat and drink. There are permanent exhibits of various groups, and usually an interesting current exhibit. For shoppers, the gift shop offers a wide range of books and interesting items.
