I stayed at the Ewa for nearly 4 weeks. It is a 2 star hotel and therefore cheaper than most, but is quite comfortable and certainly adequate. The staff are friendly, it is clean, and with the smallest kitchenette I have ever seen (in my room), allows you to save by not buying out all the time. It does show its age however, and the owners are slowly updating things like the carpets, beds, etc. If you don't want to pay high prices, and want to be very close to Hawaii beach, I can recommend the EWA.
