We stayed a week at the outrigger room with Jacuzzi. The room is smaller compared to the Sheraton but we love the in-room Jacuzzi with beach front views. Location is more central than the Sheraton so there will be more traffic and people. Food is good at their restaurants. Stay here for the location and jacuzzi. Enjoy Hawaii

To be honest we didnt love the hotel. The location is great but the staff we thought really let it down. Our ocean view room on level 10 was great and much better than i thought we would get. At the activites desk we just got harrassed by the staff who were trying to make us go to a time share meeting...very off putting. The next time we had to go to the desk we lied and said we were under 27 years of age so they would leave us alone. While on the beach lounges we never recieved pool service although i did see a waitress come out once or twice over our stay. You are not allowed to order anymore than 1 drink at a time so this meant my husband and I had to keep getting up seperatley which was very frustrating and not relaxing at all. The restaurant part of Dukes had good service but when i asked if there was any vegetarian options on the menu i was told no we don't really do vegetarian which meant i had the salad buffet for dinner :( My husband enjoyed his mahi mahi though. The one person who we did recieve excellent service from was the man who runs the towel service by the pool Im sorry ive forgotten his name but I believe he may have been of asian background. This staff member was lovely and didnt stop walking around making sure the pool area was clean and everyone had towels. In hindsight i wish we had stayed at the hilton which was further away

Beds is a must for me. I hate hard beds and this place is perfect!!

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights preceding a Hawaiian island cruise. The Outrigger Waikiki Beach had been recommended to us because of its location in Honolulu and its amenities- primarily the restaurant and bar selection right on the beach. It is also central to other restaurants and shopping in a very busy and active stretch of Waikiki. We paid for an Ocean View room and were on the 14th floor. Be aware that many of the rooms in this category have side views but in the end we were pleased we were high enough for views of both the city and the beach. Duke's Sunset Bar did not disappoint us but it is an extremely busy place - you won't always get a table. The hotel has everything one might expect of a large luxury hotel. The only negative thing about the hotel was the servicing of elevators for the 3 days we were there and that did produce some delays. Would we stay there again? Yes, but only after researching the neighbouring hotels that seem to have similar amenities . The cost of staying here is high , so I would feel better doing my homework.
