“Loved It!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2013

Everything about this hotel was EXCELLENT!!! Fantastic location, great food and excellent service both at the front desk (especially from Bernie) and concierge (especially Todd). My only gripe is that the room was quite small, but like you spend much time in the hotel when in Hawaii :-) and it was always clean, and there was no bar service at the pool. You really can't ask for a better location. You walk out the front and you are a short lane way walk to the beach and the lovely resorts, walk thru the back and you're a short walk to the main shopping and restaurants. You really can't ask for more. I would definitely stay there again.

Our group of 4 couples stayed here for 3 nights at the start and again at the end of our Hawaii holiday. We were very happy with this choice of hotel.
It was in a central spot, good views of the beach from our balconies,wine-tasting evening on Friday night, really friendly service, breakfast included -and free parking for our groups' mini-bus!
The rooms were a reasonable size, with wide windows to look out onto the ocean. Also had a box of choc-macadamias on the bed when we returned.
The only small down side was the noise of rubbish trucks at 6am on a few mornings! Being on holidays, I just went back to sleep but they did wake me up!

Room Tip: Hmmm - rooms with view of ocean are great, but there may be that street noise.

We are only in Waikiki for one night, and booked a hotel as a secret deal on hotwire. We ended up getting to the hotel at 8:30 am (far before the check in time) and the porter's were kind enough to hold all of our luggage while we walked around. We checked back about 11:30 am to see if there was anyway to get in a bit early, and were so pleased to find out that the fantastic front desk person Lisa was able to find us a room. Not only did she do this for us, but she even gave us an ocean view upgrade! Lisa is amazing and has made our time here a pleasure! The room is quite nice, the pool area is great, the location is fantastic...but the service is incredible! Thank you Waikiki Parc Hotel, Lisa and Herme.

This hotel is right amongst everything worth doing in Waikiki, it's walking distance to great shopping, restaurants and the beautiful waikiki beach. Although this hotel is across the street from the beach there is a little path right in front of the hotel that takes you to the beach, 20m away. We enjoyed our stay, the staff were helpful. Concierge booked us on a couple of tours, they were enjoyable and enabled us to see the rest of the island. Only complaints would be the rooms could do with updating (they were clean just outdated) and someone was smoking next door to us even though it was a nonsmoking hotel and the smoke came into our room, but the staff seemed to act quickly on this when we complained. Nobu was overrated, it was yummy but not worth the prices for such small portions and when there are so many other fantastic options across the road. Worth trying at happy hour for pre dinner drinks and starters but be prepared to pay! I highly recommend staying here as it has the perks of the other hotels but without the price. Overall stay here if location is the most important thing to you and your on a budget.

I'm on 14th floor and yesterday and today it's so loud starting at 8am. I would not stay here again. The pool and laundry room are nice, mountain view is nice and fun to watch sun set. It is really close to everything in Waikiki - Jamba Juice, McDonald's, high end shopping.

My wife and I took a four day weekend and stayed at this hotel with our one year old. Location was most important to us, as we wanted to be as close to our favorite part of Waikiki as possible. Mission accomplished! This hotel is a very short walk to the Royal Hawaiian Shopping center and our favorite restaurant, The Yard House.

Second most important was price and value. We purchased our stay through Hotels.com, as it was right in our price range. Included with the price was free parking. If you book online, make sure you get it with free parking! Parking is rated at $35 per day at this hotel, not including tipping for valet. Valet is optional, but worth it in my opinion. What's a few bucks to have your car brought to you at the front door? Beats walking around a parking garage every time you park or pickup your car.

The rooms themselves were very clean. Decor of the rooms wasn't as fancy or modern as the lobby area, but that isn't a deal breaker for me. It had an elegant minimalist look to it. The bathroom was a little cramped, but the size of the room was otherwise that of any other standard hotel room. I've seen reviews touting that the rooms were too small, but the room size met my expectations. The balcony, on the other hand, was tiny. But, again, not a deal breaker for me.

When we booked the hotel, we asked for a room that was on a higher floor or one that was overlooking the pool. This request was based on reviews stating that early morning noises (garbage trucks, beeping, etc.) could be loud and disturbing. Unfortunately, when we checked in, there was an issue with the room we were assigned (apparently the previous guests did something that required the carpet to be removed and reinstalled), so we ended up getting a room on a lower floor. The reviews about the noise are true! We were woken in the early hours because of the noise.

We also read reviews about this hotel not being family friendly. This is not true. We had a one year old with us. We were provided a crib free of charge. Nuff said.

Staff at all levels were extremely friendly and helpful. Everything was a breeze, from the check-in (minus the initial hickup) to check-out. Valet and bell service are extremely nice and helpful. Even the cleaning service were always very pleasant and eager to greet you walking down the hallway.

Here's the TL;DR:

Pros - Clean, friendly staff, family friendly, great location, great value

Cons - Early morning city noise (request higher floor or room overlooking the pool), tiny balcony, bathroom is a little cramped

If you are looking for a reasonably priced hotel in a great location then the Waikiki Parc is great. It is literally a 30 second walk to the beach and about a 2 minute walk to Kalakaua Avenue which is the main strip of Waikiki. The trolleys come right to the Royal Hawaiian Shopping centre that is about a minute's walk from the hotel and they take you all over Waikiki. Even the Waikiki Beach Walk with the restaurants and shopping is steps away.
Our room was on the 23rd floor with the view of the beach which was amazing and we really enjoyed our balcony. The only problem was that the room was extremely noisy with the sound of the air-conditioning units from the Sheraton in front and the constant traffic down below. I stayed with my sister and my friend and the room was slightly cramped for the three of us. The bathroom size as well was a little small, however I have been told that in the U.S a downtown hotel usually has a small sized bathroom so I guess that's fine, but it was still a little uncomfortable.
We had breakfast included, which was excellent. It was served in the Nobu restaurant and everyday the food was great. The staff was always friendly and always took out the time to speak to us about our day. They would suggest things to us and were always helpful. Do not miss their Kona Coffee which was yummy.
Staying at the Parc I made full use of the Spa Halekulani benefits and had a few relaxing treatments that could be signed to my room, which was nice and convenient.
The hotel staff were also very helpful and professional.
Waikiki Parc is good value for money. It's not fancy, in fact the lobby can be very stuffy as there are no open windows or big glass windows. Even the entrance to the hotel is unimpressive as it is behind the Sheraton Waikiki's Bus pickup zone and looks more like an alleyway. But for the reasonable price you are paying, one can't complain and after a great and comfortable 10 day stay, we could hardly hold that against them.
All in all it was a great place to stay and I would highly recommend it for those who want a good hotel with a great location on a budget.

Room Tip: If you are able to get a room on the higher floors it is better since the view is better.
