“Awesome Experience & History Lesson”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 2, 2014

The tour for USS Missouri is such an incredible experience to see the conditions and engineering for a part of the US naval history. If you appreciate engineering on any level, you will enjoy the Heart of the Missouri Tour! It is strongly recommended to take a few hours of your day and learn about the history of the vessel as well as the men who served aboard the ship. It is an eye-opener and hopefully allows you the insight into how our veterans lived and functioned in a time not so long ago!

“Wear pants with pockets!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 1, 2014

We were told no backpacks, bags, etc., but even my small purse had to go back to the car. (They'll check it for you for $3). I couldn't buy the admission tickets, because they required an ID with my credit card, and of course, it was in the car in my purse. It was awkward carrying my point & shoot and the Missouri map they gave me as I went up and down the deck ladders. Wish I would have worn my cargo pants! Not a good start! Once there, though, we liked the Missouri tour. Headsets are included, and you can go at your own pace. A young man gave us a short tour of the main deck, then we were on our own. Lovely view of the Arizona from here! Go early in the day before it gets too hot and crowded. We went at 9am on Sunday and it was the perfect time.

“Great Tour”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 31, 2014

We took the tour with a guide (only on the above-decks), and then also walked around the ship on our own. They allowed us to see a great deal of the ship below deck on a self-guided tour. It was very interesting, and also really gave a person the feel of what it would be like to be stationed on a ship of that magnitude. Really poignant to see the place where the war all began from the deck where it all ended. Don't miss this if you go to Pearl Harbor!
