This beautiful hotel offered many great amenities: valet, five-star restaurant, and spa. Rooms are spacious and well-equipped and room service was prompt with cleaning. Pool is large and is available for room service, which is a nice addition (although the hottub is a little on the small size). Ideally situated in downtown Newport within walking distance of all major attractions and stores.

This is the second time we stay here and will definitely come back again. The entire staff are great, the food is very good, the pool and the hot tub are both clean and properly warm, the room is beautiful, good size, clean, and comfortable. Loved the breakfast, specially the lobster omelet; the even serve your breakfast at the pool if you want. It's worth it paying for the package that includes bkfst for 2 + parking -- good deal!

Will always come back!

The Hotel Viking is a wonderful unique hotel offering so much to our guests and you have captured the ambience of our One Bellevue Restaurant. Your description of the delicious items on the menu are mouth-watering and makes one want to enjoy the food as much as you and your guests did. Hotel is walking distance to shopping and restaurants. Staff is friendly and helpful. Free self and valet parking with quick service. Bathroom was a little small but room was clean and comfy and still a great value.

Great Place; homey atmosphere not a corporate building block hotel. It well fits and depicts old Newport RI - Staff very friendly. Room was fine, basic comforts with some frill.
If you want to disappear for a while into an "old country club motif" this hotel will accommodate you.

Room Tip: 4th floor ask for a view of the harbor and the bridge

We stayed one night over Valentines Day weekend. Everything was wonderful except for hot water in the bathroom sink. The shower hot water worked fine. The room was comfortable as was the bed & linens. Very centrally located!!! would definately stay again!!!

Overall a nice stay. Clean comfortable rooms and nice staff. The sink in our room wasn't working properly you could only get hot OR cold water.....no warm and the water pressure was really low. The only other complaint we had was food service. Room service one morning was an hour late and after 3 attempts to correct our order it was still wrong. Service in dining room extremely slow! Waited an hour and a half for our order and we were there with 2 kids...not good! Other than that the stay was quite nice. I had a nice experience at the SPA and the kids loved the pool. Courteous staff and great location. Pretty hotel. Might stay again.

Love this Hotel, always have. The only minor complaint was with breakfast quality.Both the Buffet and menu items were dry and overheated .On previous visits the Buffet was much better.All the staff I encountered were friendly and professional.
