My husband and I went to this B&B to celebrate our 16th anniversary. I found this charming place on TripAdvisor and decided to try it after the great reviews. We stayed in the suite. We loved the room, very quaint with a fireplace and sitting area where we played games that were provided to us in the adjacent sitting room for the public. Upon arrival, we found that Michael and Heather had left us a couple of yummy cupcakes knowing we were celebrating our anniversary. Sweet touch! We found the room to be very clean and the bed very comfortable. We had our own private deck but we didn't use it because it was too cool out during our visit, but it would have been nice to use otherwise. The daily breakfasts made by Michael and Heather were delicious. Portuguese Sweet Bread french toast one day and belgian waffles with berries the next. We also had really good pecan muffins....I just had to have 2! Heather and Michael were very friendly and chatted with us as well as the other guests during breakfast. Loved coming back late afternoon to fresh coffee and cookies for the guests. I didn't see the journals in our room until just before we left, sadly. They were written in by past guest and included things people liked in the area. I left a note in one. We had a great time at the nearby Firehouse Theater one night and enjoyed dinner at the Brick Alley Pub and lunch at Pour Judgement Pub. Cupcake Charlie's was great for dessert before leaving Newport! Great area for the B&B. Close enough to walk into town and shop and dine. Short drive-and not too far that you couldn't walk even- to the mansions, cliff walk, Ocean Drive, Tennis Hall of Fame. Price was very reasonable and included free parking & WIFI. We purchased combo tickets for the Tennis Hall of Fame & 3 mansions with our stay, saving quite a bit of money. The only suggestions I have would be putting tissues in the rooms, and adding a microwave to the public sitting room. We had a great weekend and would recommend this quaint B&B!
The suite was great to have a little extra space for hanging out in the sitting room, or if it is ni...

We are so glad that you enjoyed celebrating your 16th wedding anniversary with us and we thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts about your stay! We apologize for the lack of tissues in your room (there are normally two, one in the bedroom and one in the bathroom). We have a new housekeeper and we obviously missed them ourselves when we inspected your room before check-in. There is a microwave in the public sitting room if someone needs it though we do not encourage guests to eat meals in their rooms as that can sometimes result in stains to our fine linens and carpets. We have updated our signage and information page to let guests know where to find it if they do need it.
