From the beautiful room and goumet breakfast, to the morning church bells and fresh flowers, The Wander Inn is a first class B&B.

My husband just surprised me with a wonderful weekend away to celebrate a special birthday. He heard about the Wander Inn from his brother ans sister-in-law who were guests there last summer. The Inn was as wonderful as our relatives stated. Our room was beautiful and very clean. Karen, the Inn Keeper, runs a fabulous place. She does all of the cooking and baking herself. The breakfasts were so delicious, and the diningroom table always looked lovely. I understand that in warm weather Karen entertains on her gorgeous deck. I would like to come back for that some time. Karen also knows just what to recommend in the way of activities and great restaurants. She even made reservations for us for a special birthday dinner. I understand that she helped my husband plan things especially for me. I do have one complaint, her cookies, which are always available were just too good to resist. My husband and I couldn't stop nibbling! My brother-in-law was afraid that the Wander Inn was going to be sold, but Karen assured us that she will be open this summer. We hope to be back again, and will bring some friends this time.

My husband and I were in Newport for one night, to celebrate our anniversary. The Wander Inn was a great place to stay. The hostesss, Karen, was wonderful -- she was very welcoming and we really felt like we were guests in a home. And yet she was not at all overbearing, like some inn owners can be, just really the perfect hostess.

The breakfasts were great, very gourmet! And the bottomless cookie jar was filled with delicious chocolate chip cookies that we ate way too many of.

We can't attest to the ease of walking to town/the ocean from the inn because it was so cold and windy we just decided to drive instead of freeze. But it was quite close and in the summer would probably be a really nice walk.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay at the Wander Inn. Karen is a lovely hostess, who gave us lots of useful information regarding Newport events and restaurants. The Inn is beautifully decorated, in a quiet residential area convenient to downtown Newport. Almost best of all were the amazing breakfasts...all three were scrumptuous! We are delighted we chose to wander in!

Found the Wander Inn through a referral. Karen has a wonderful home, with four nicely appointed guest bedrooms, and plenty to keep you busy. Within easy walking distance of downtown Newport. We spent two full days walking through the Irish Festival, and all of the local touristy shops. Karen recommend several places for meals, all of them were winners, and Karen herself prepares a wonderful breakfast. The weather was absolutely beautiful, which allowed us to enjoy breakfast on the deck.
