We were pleasantly surprised by our stay at Brinley Victorian Inn which is part of Inn on Bellevue. Check in was prompt and Paul, the Innkeeper, sent one young man with me to show how to get to the building and the room (I didn't get my welcome snack-bag though, that I was reading about it in earlier reviews). This was our first time in Newport, and we were pretty impressed when we got into our room (Queen 1); my wife is a victorian style personality, so she plunged into her native environment and felt like at home. Brinley located on the back of Bellevue Ave, on a quiet Brinley St. (see google maps) and we didn't see any tumbledown houses near it (as I read in some review). The house is well maintained, no any signs of bad conditions; There is a hallway connecting 2 houses with dining tables, big fridge and exit to a nice small green yard. We have brought our food from a grocery store and have had an amazing dinner at this place (but it's depends on each one's preferences talking about choosing a dinner place, of course). --- Overall: it's a very good and affordable option in Newport if you know what you're expecting to get here (not a royalty 5 star services). We are a young couple and I highly recommend this place for a romantic vacation. __ After you read reviews here, go to their web site: innsonbellevue.com and see a cool 360 deg. view of the rooms.
