“Wonderful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 24, 2014 via mobile

Arrived here with my wife to celebrate our 25th anniversary. Was pleasantly surprised by the staff being so courteous and friendly. Our room was upgraded to a suite compliments of the hotel for our anniversary. What a beautiful room it was. Comfortable furniture, soft bed, turned down every evening along with some cookies. The breakfast buffet was just right, rolls, muffins, dry cereal, fruits, meat and cheeses. We really couldn't have picked a better place to stay for our first trip to Newport! It is also very centrally located, walking distance to many attractions and shopping.

To sum up this hotel in one word - PERFECT! Everything was amazing from the staff, the service, the accommodations, and all the little extras.
We were visiting on our mini-moon right after our wedding and we were upgraded to a suite at check-in, and had a bottle of champagne waiting in our room!

I can't say enough great things about The Vanderbilt Grace, and I don't think I have any complaints.

We especially loved the champagne breakfast...the croissants were out of this world!

Will definitely return for another visit!!!

This was our second visit to the Vanderbilt Grace and we enjoyed it even more than the first. We were upgraded to one of the better suites - it was beautifully decorated, very well equipped and spacious. The staff are very efficient and friendly. We didn't eat in the Muse restaurant but thought the conservatory breakfast was excellent. Location is ideal.

My husband and I spent a long weekend at the hotel. We were in a junior suite on the 2d floor. There were soaring ceilings in the room and they kept the integrity of the mansion. The room was spacious and modern. Just spectacular. The staff could not have been more attentive. A glass of champagne each time we walked through the lobby. Their restaurant Muse was wonderful. We sat by the fire and enjoyed a 4 course meal that did not leave us feeling overstuffed. We left on Sunday morning after breakfast. The waitress asked if we would like some of the homemade pastries for our trip back home. What a wonderful treat. When the valet brought the car around, there were 2 bottles of water in the cup holders. Small things make a big difference. We will definitely be returning to the Vanderbilt Grace!

Room Tip: If you're staying in a junior suite, ask for room 205. You can walk up the front staircase witho...

My wife and I spent 2 amazing days. The staff took care of all of our needs from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. From Kodi at the bar and her amazing original cocktails, Alli in the spa and Fleur our servers, we couldn't have been treated better. Thank you Vanderbilt Grace!
