Although it does have some nice pieces of furniture, they are not pieces you could not see in other/better historic homes. It really just focuses on the furniture, not the family, etc. You are handed a booklet explaining the pieces of furniture in each room. If you have time to kill, I guess it's something to do, but I wouldn't carve out time to do it...many other things to do in Newport.
