“Great food in a fast paced restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 30, 2014

I was looking for something small so I sat at the bar and looked at the menu. A few things interested me so I went for it. Great food at a great price. The bartender was great to chat with and he knew the menu. I didn't get something small but had a great meal.

“Fresh Calamari and Grand Marnier Chocolate Cheese Cake”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2014

It is easy to pass by this dining/bar establishment and not realize there is an upstair dining area. Benjamins serves the best calamari that i have had so far and of course the fresh clams. I was also lucky that today was the day they decided to try a new dessert, grand mariner chocolate cheese cake with dark chocolate and chocolate grand mariner mousse. I am sure this dessert winner will remain on the menu in the future. Our waitress Hannah helped me in my perfect desert choice, thank you Hannah you are the best!!!!

“Good food for the price (it is Newport after all...)”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2014

Was there on Friday of Labor Day weekend for lunch. Not very busy, which was nice. If a 3rd floor exists as noted in previous reviews they didn't let us sit there. My lobster and chowder was just that, no slaw or potato. The lobster was overcooked (easy to tell by the white 'stuff' that appears on the meat). Not nearly enough napkins given you must crack it yourself, which I am fine doing if enough napkins are available. Our waiter was sparsely around, odd given he had just our table.

My spouse had the lobster burger -said the lobster was good, the burger was good, just not a great flavor together.

Our teenager had the seafood mac and cheese - was well liked.
