“Nice atmosphere”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2014

This restaurant presents quite an attractive scene as you peer in the window, and it is comfortable and busy inside. Brightly lit and bustling, you want to dive in. The menu is a bit odd, however. There is just one page of food items a-la-carte. The rest are only offered as a complete meal. If you don't want a salad and bread, etc, too bad. This makes an ordinary selection quite expensive for what you get. I ordered a-la-carte fish and chips and they were scrumptious. I do recommend, but wish they would stop with the menu.

“Outstanding”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2014

Food was and is always great. Whenever we come to Newport we have to come here for dinner. This time the food as always was great, but our server was the best we've had yet. Her name was Nicole, and she did an outstanding job. Friendly, personable, and attentive. Everything a server should be!!! Well done.

“lunch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2014

We had lunch at the bar and had the chili and the lobster salad. The chili was very good and the lobster meat in the salad was plentiful! The prices were very reasonable and the bar service was excellent!

“Amazing Pizza!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 19, 2014

We came here to eat dinner the week of our wedding, and it was just fantastic. The atmosphere was funky and cool, the food was out of this world (esp. the pizza, which comes on almost french bread), and the staff were friendly and prompt! We would def. go back!

“A Reliable Pub Experience”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 16, 2014

We come to BAP from time to time when we want a reliable pub experience. The food on the large and varied menu is good (but not great) pub food, most of which comes with thick, old-fashioned french fries. There is a wide variety of tap and bottled beer, which the staff seeks to refill promptly. The restaurant is filled with interesting memorabilia that is fun to look at while you wait for your table -- which is the case almost every time we come here. The portions are large, which partially justifies what I feel are fairly high prices. This is not fine dining -- nor do I consider it one of the best restaurants in Newport -- but it fills the bill when we want a good burger and a beer in a friendly, fun atmosphere.
