“A rare gem in Newport Rhode Island”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 7, 2013

This restaurant by far has the best food in southern New England. It serves only fresh local fare and has a limited menu of perhaps six items. Yet each of them is a Culinari masterpiece. Last evening I had the duck confit cassoulet and my spouse had the roast monkfish. We started with the wonderful beet salad. It is also BYOB which makes it a huge value

“A mistake I will make once; a poorly executed dining concept!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2013

TSK is by no means impressive; please don't waste your time. There is no ambiance, the establishment is highly overpriced (not the entrees per say, but you do get nickle and dime(ed) right out the door) , and the service is nothing to write home about (staff well informed, but more interested in socializing than helping customers). I initially thought the BYOB concept could be an interesting one for this type of high end affair, but it ended up being a train wreck as well. Food was fine; however, "fine" describes just about every chain establishment in America, where you only pay one quarter of the price.

Again, TSK BYOB means you still pay a corkage fee, and you pay it per person. For the fee you don't get quality service like you might expect, rather a cheap tumbler to pour your "special" wine into...are you kidding me??? Oh, and don't order the cheese plate - 5 crackers/5 cheese samples/$25???

“Not worth it, better options nearby ”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2013

Came here and waited 30 min despite a reservation. Then charged a $5 per person corkage fee ( they up the charge from $3 per person with parties of 6 or more). Food was mediocre; you can get the same food with better service at a dozen other places nearby. Won't go back and won't recommend.

“Excellent food - cozy atmosphere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 30, 2013

The setting is laid back, even a bit eclectic, but don't let this fool you. This is seriously good food. The menu is set on one page with distinct, interesting and creative choices. I enjoyed the half chicken with rich savory sauce and mushrooms and we also tried the blackfish which was as tender and delicious as can be. The BYOB aspect should be noted but is not a detraction in my mind. The service (one of two twin sisters who co-own the restaurant) was gracious, cheerful and incredibly attentive. All in all a wonderful evening and we'll definitely be returning there soon!

“Good but a bit unbalanced”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 17, 2013

The dining room has a great atmosphere, the service is professional and the BYO policy cuts the cost of drinks, so this ought to be a first-class restaurant. The chef certainly has some good ideas, but some of the food is decidedly unbalanced - their chicken with croutons had a good flavor, but it was far too rich and looked monochrome dish. A fresh green vegetable would have balanced both the appearance and the taste of theme on the plate.
