What a lovely place to stay, excellent furnishings, beautful room (Captain's suite) spotlessly clean, with a lovely view of the bay. No need to worry about comfort, either in the room or on the large balcony, which has a recliner and table and chairs.
Jackie was an excellent host and nothing was too much trouble for her. Fresh tea/coffee was available 24 hours a day (which seemed a rarity on this holiday) and I would recommend this home to anyone going to the Newport area.

This is a great inn in a quiet neighborhood away from the hustle and bustle of the wharfs. You can walk into town either by way of the beautiful waterfront and park or past all of the restored homes, many of which date from the 1700 and 1800's. If you want to drive, you can be in town within 10 minutes. The inn is spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. We stayed in the Admiral's room which resembles a studio apartment. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast featured to order pastries/muffins with cereals, fruits, yogurt etc. Jackie the innkeeper was superb, taking care of all of needs and treating us like old friends. There was great communication from Lorna the owner re: inn specials, reservations and arrival times. We genuinely did not want to leave.

As independent travellers from the UK it is always a risk booking accommodation in a foreign country so I rely on TripAdvisor greatly for feedback from others so when I find a service, either good or bad, that people should know about then I’m happy to add my hat to the ring. The Newport Bayside Inn is a great place to stay. Accommodation is spotless with all the amenities you would expect. Jacki the host is attentive and helpful without being in your face. Tea and coffee is always available plus cookies………ummmmmm Cookies! Breakfast is limited in choice but totally adequate. The view from our room, Admirals Quarters, is lovely but be aware that there is a building between you and the water blocking some of the view. Parking is fine and there is a pleasant 20 minute stroll into Newport so no need to move your car if you don’t want to. All in all we would not hesitate to stay there again if in Newport and would recommend it to anyone looking for a really nice break.

to see mom. she made sure we had plenty of water and goodies in our cooler before we set out on our adventures and even when we left she restocked our cooler with cold water and fruit

with a big veranda and chaise lounge you felt like a movie star not to mention the king size bed
looking out on the view of the newport harbor.
we took lots of pictures and plan to return the next time we visit, without a doubt!!!
