“Great underbelly establishment”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 3, 2013

Visited based on trip advisor reviews. Had to park about a mile away and walk through a questionable area to get there so we were really unsure of this decision. Especially when we stepped inside on a hot day to find there was no air conditioning. Then, redemption! Scrumptious sandwiches on fresh made artisan bread that was crunchy and chewy at the same time. Our party had the Tuscan and the Pear and Brie which we're all fantastic. There is no atmosphere in this cafe and no outside seating except for a little bench on the side of the building. Very small dining area with about 5 tables tops. Although it was hot and tight inside we got cooled off quickly with large cups of iced tea and refills were only $1 each. Servers were very friendly too which helped to keep customer patience from thinning. Definitely worth the walk off the beaten path.

“Among Many Great Places to Eat, This is the BEST!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2013

This place is not to be missed! Very small and quaint but the food is fantastic. I had the Cuban panini along with a apple pastry. I hate we left this place until our last day in Newport. It is only open from 7:30AM to 3:00PM and it does tend to sell out early so get there early.

“Favor Flavor Funky.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2013 via mobile

Love the menu. Love the flavor combinations. Perfect cafe with several option. I saw three other sandwichs that I would love to try. I had the Pear and Brie. Reminds me of the little cafes in other European countries. They sold over 12 iced coffees while we ate so I'm guessing they were good too. I should have gotten one to go. LOVELY PLACE.

“Neighborhood Gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2013

Wonderful for breakfast & lunch. But don't come late or they will be sold out. Ordering in advance by phone is a good idea. Pastries are great for breakfast & sandwiches for lunch.
Limited table space & parking.

“Good Coffee”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

Great little cafe on Spring Street that has wonderful pastries and good Costa Rica Coffee. Opens early around 7 or 7:30 am which is nice for early risers looking to start the day off right.
