We are so glad that you love the Cliffside so much and keep coming back to see us. You know once you visit 10 times we engrave a brick in the walkway for you! We are also thrilled that you like the changes to the inn since the renovations.

Looking forward to next year's visit.

All the best,
Nancy and Bill

This has become our favorite spot for weekend away from New York. The location is absolutely perfect, right near the Cliff Walk and close to downtown or beaches.

You could not ask for more classy or gracious innkeepers than Nancy and Bill. They really make sure each trip is a great experience.

Attention to detail is what separates this place from any other B & B we have visited.

We will be back again. And again

What a brilliant B and B! We stayed in the Blue room which was really lovely - although a little on the small size - but it fit our budget. We enjoyed wine tasting and hors d'oeuvres in the early evening and a sumptuous breakfast the following morning - which made our stay so very special. Both Bill and Nancy went out of their way to make our stay very special - which was really appreciated. Thank you.

Room Tip: Stay here you won't regret it - Nancy has many brilliant ideas to fill in your time there

Carol-Anne,

I haven't been called brilliant in a very long time. Thank you. We really enjoyed your stay here. I wish you weren't so far away as we would love to have you both back soon. I do hope the rest of your trip went well. It was quite and undertaking and I think most of our quests were quite jealous that they couldn't join you.

Stay well,
Nancy

We spent 3 nights at the Cliffside during the last week of August, 2013. Really enjoyed our stay there. The Cliffside is everything you would expect from their website and more. Stayed in the Tower Suite, and it was lovely! Gorgeous marble bath downstairs, and lovely room up stairs with huge armoire, victorian bed, and window seat -- built within one fo the inn's turrets. Water view from a distance, short walk to the Cliffwalk and to the beach below, which we enjoyed strolling at night. Wonderful hospitality by Nancy and Bill, the innkeepers, who also served an awesome breakfast. Met really nice people there too. Very quiet, casual, intimate atmosphere. Not the least expensive place in town and certainly not the most...really worth every penny!

Room Tip: Really liked the Tower Suite, but from what I could see, there wouldn't be a bad room anywhere.

We are so happy that you had a great stay at the inn. The Tower Suite is particularly special and I always feel like a princess when I go in there. It was great to watch you meeting and getting to know the other guests. That is one of the things we like most about this business - watching the guests make friends, with us and the other guests.

We hope to see you back for another stay soon.

Best,
Nancy and Bill

Stayed in the turner suite. Room was excellent! Sitting area, fireplace. And a rain shower head. Right down the street to cliff walk. Easy access to waterfront area, walk or drive. Breakfast were very good. Loved the pancakes. Owners were extremely helpful with dinner recommendations and even gave us a hug at checkout. Very ice property! Highly recommended.

We are so glad you chose the Cliffside Inn for your last minute getaway. Sometimes those wind up to be the best trips and we are so happy you enjoyed the Turner Suite. I just love the color in that room and the original landscape by Beatrice Turner.

We will be running lots of fall specials in the next few months and hope to see you the next time you need a quick (or long) getaway.

All the best,
Nancy and Bill

Kudos to Nancy & Bill.......their Cliffside Inn is impeccable. We celebrated an anniversary; there were rose pedals strewn about our bed after turn down service! The attention to detail & just plain friendliness were extraordinary. Excellent food & drink. We would return in a heartbeat.

Room Tip: The garden suite was beautiful & comfortable but the steep spiral staircase is not for everyone.

It was wonderful having you here for your anniversary. It was wonderful seeing you enjoy Newport and the Tennis Hall of Fame. Those grass courts are amazing.

The stair case in the Garden Suite is so wonderful and is a great romantic feature, but I agree it is not for everyone. We do try to let people know about it when they reserve. We are glad you maneuvered it well.

We are glad you had a "wonderful Newport visit" and hope you will return soon.

Best,
Nancy and Bill

Cliffside Inn under current ownership passed its 2-year anniversary in mid- August 2013. My wife and I were there to celebrate a wedding anniversary. The facility is well presented and the careful planning and attention that went into the renovation is evident everywhere. The rooms are furnished in period furniture but all appliances and systems are up to date and working well. Everyone on the staff we encountered was helpful, smiling, and made guests feel as if there were special. Our hosts take great pride in what they do. Everything worked seamlessly during the entire stay. Each breakfast is different, interesting, and more than ample. When we were there, there was afternoon tea or wine tasting with more interesting tidbits to enjoy. The wifi was adequate, but not ultra fast, i cold get my work done and there is no limitation on devices. All I can say is it was an exceptional stay.

Room Tip: We were in a lower cost single room that was more than adequate for two people.

Thank you for choosing the Cliffside Inn for your wedding anniversary. Even though your aren't far from the Cliffside, it is nice to get away and be pampered on special occasions. We are very pleased that we could do that for you. It was wonderful getting to know both of you and we hope that if you do a day trip over to Newport you will stop in to see us.

Best,
Nancy and Bill
