My husband and I wanted a beautiful quiet escape from our Manhattan neighborhood for New Year's Eve. We spent 2 amazing nights at this lovely Inn. Bill and Nancy are wonderful attentive hosts. They made us feel at home in their home. Looking forward to our next stay at this Newport gem.

In a city of hugely overrated and overpriced "inns," the Cliffside Inn is a fantastic exception. The innkeepers are welcoming and informative, the inn is beautifully renovated, and the breakfasts are excellent. The beach and the center of Newport are short walks away yet the inn is located on a quiet street away from traffic and noise. We could not find anything wrong - when we told the innkeeper that the only thing lacking was a dog, he brought out the inn's dog!

My husband and I were in Newport for a wedding in November and we stayed at the Cliffside Inn and couldn't have asked for a better experience. We stayed in the Tower Room which was perfect as was the hospitality from Nancy and Bill and the entire staff. I worked for United and literally have traveled the world, and have never had such an outstanding stay. My husband and I have been to many B&B's both in the US and abroad and we were stunned at the the exceptional level of care from the entire staff. We will be back to Newport soon, and it will be to stay at the Cliffside Inn! Absolutely impeccable!

I highly recommend the Cliffside Inn. It was our first trip to a Newport Bed and Breakfast, but I can't imagine it getting any better. Bill and Nancy were fantastic hosts. We stayed in the Carriage House, which is beautiful and offers privacy as it's detached from the main house. Breakfast was delicious.
