I was there for a business meeting when a summer vacation season, so all hotel is full or high price. Then my travel agency found this for me at $139/night.

When I was arrived, it’s located in downtown Buffalo, as you know Buffalo is an old city, so surround area not feel good. And you need a value parking for your car.
When I got my key, cookies, breakfast (Standard for HH Gold), and open door for my room… Wow… that is a suite not a room; I got working desk with small kitchen, and a living room partition by a low wall, a bath room and bed room. All like new remodel and feel great. Anyway, outside the window still look ugly… You can nothing for the City, right?

Breakfast is a midsize cafeteria, but waitress still service to your table after you order from casher. So pay the tips, please… Not bad for a rush business trip, for personal vacation, I still prefer H-Garden, they had better human kinds.

Summary, $139 is not too bad for a hot summery season. Ok to stay.

Ps. I go to Nagara Falls to see firework in the night, that is great for a summary night. Start by 10PM

We too booked through Hotwire for $59 a night. For that price it's a steal... very nice hotel although we only stayed there one night.

It is kind of away from the downtown core, but since we were just passing through that was just fine. The staff was friendly, the room was big and the bed was comfortable. There's nothing awe inspiring, but it's nice and will do.

There is no parking lot so you can pay $8 for valet and they just park it on the driveway up to the hotel. Or you can park it on the street for free on weekends.

The only complaint was mapquest, didn't give proper directions to the hotel, so, don't just rely on them... bring a Buffalo map off the internet.

I booked through hotwire at a great price- $59. At that price it is a great buy. It is clean and well-maintained. The bed was good too. I enjoyed my stay and have nothing to complain about. The staff was helpful and friendly as well.

Rooms are big and include a fridge/freezer, microwave, sink, etc.

The location is awkward and isn't near anything except for a couple hospitals. They have a free shuttle service which was useful and they drove us even after it was "closed" which we appreciated. The staff is very young but they were very helpful.

The only criticism is the parking situation-- they have valet parking for a fee but you can park sometimes on the street for free. It takes 15 mins to get your car. Not bad-- just be aware that there is no parking lot.

Would stay again if in Buffalo. Very clean and comfortable, ESPECIALLY for the price!

I have a Gold preferred status with Hilton so I am always on the lookout for Hilton hotels, (of which Doubletree is one). I flew to Buffalo with my daughter for a recent concert, and booked the Doubletree from the reviews on this site, the points and since it was only 1-2 miles from the HSBC center where the concert was. The hotel is about 10-15 mins from the Buffalo airport. It is directly across the street from a hospital and beside a medical clinic. Despite the location there was no traffic and no people around which I thought rather odd for a hospital. The hotel is not in a very nice neighborhood and I wouldn't recommend walking around. The front of the hotel is not noticeable and there is only a tiny area for parking while you register. The front desk girl was friendly but not a professional. The rooms were okay and the bed was comfortable but definitely not the a dream bed. As far as Doubletrees go, this is not one of the nicer ones. This is an old hotel and the area behind the small front desk counter was in dire need of new carpet, moldings, you name it. I did NOT receive any Doubletree cookies, which is a big no-no, especially in light of my frequent guest status. There is a small refrigerator, microwave, and sink in the rooms along with the coffee maker. They are oddly positioned next to the bed. The bathroom was good size, but the hair dryer is so low force that I gave up and air-dried by hair - NOT what I wanted to do as I was dressing for a concert. I'm told there is an Au Bon Pain attached to the lobby, but I didn't see it. The next morning I called down to the front desk to see what the weather was for the day and was told "Um, I guess it's gonna be nice." gee, thanks. They should know that many hotels leave a little note card in the room with the weather so you know how to dress, and you don't have to wait up til 11pm to catch a glimpse of the news. The room was fine, but I wonder if there aren't nicer hotels in town.

We booked the Doubletree through Hotwire for a one night stay to attend a concert. Finding the hotel was a little difficult, no thanks to Mapquest.com's bad directions, but that was no fault of the hotel's.

Upon arrival at the hotel, front counter staff were extremely friendly and helpful! I had called ahead the night before to request a room with two beds and that request was met with no problems.

Parking at the hotel was $8 for the valet service or $6 for the self-park. We opted for the valet parking and unbeknownst to us, the hotel offers a free shuttle service! The driver, Chris, took us to dinner at the Towne Grill and even made stops for us to pick up some groceries at Latina's Foodland! And then he drove us to get ready after dinner and then onwards to the venue for our concert! Incredible!

Our room was large enough for three people...It was clean and tastefully decorated. The two double beds were comfortable and had warm duvets.

Check out was quick and painless and the Au Bon Pain in the hotel was convenient to grab a quick coffee and bagle before heading out. The hotel was glad to provide written directions to the Walden Galleria.

I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely be willing to stay here again!
