My husband, 15 month old daughter, uncle and I were driving out to Lansing, MI from the Boston area. Thought we would stay near Niagara Falls, but, our original hotel reservation was somehow canceled by a 3rd party. (See my other reviews from Jun 2009.) We found this hotel listed on one of those travel coupon books at rest stops. After finding a couple of other better known hotels were booked, we choose this place. We made the wrong choice.

We got in at 2:30 am, dead tired and ready to sleep. We got to our room and upon entering realized that the AC was not working --- the AC looked partially exposed as if maintenance had worked on it earlier and it was like a sauna in there! I called the front desk and asked for another room. She said that they were full for the night. When I explained the problem, she said that the AC could not be repaired until business hours but she would work on trying to find a solution. I assumed she meant find a room in a neighboring hotel. Well, my uncle wasn't willing to wait and went down immediately to confront the front desk attendant in person. He found out that her idea of "trying to find a solution" was her walking towards the lobby couch to return to watching TV. He confronted her and angrily explained how having no AC was unacceptable especially since we had baby with us. Mention of the baby changed her tune, and she found another room for us with working AC. But where did this room come from if they were full?????????? I was happy I had my daughter with us because that was the only way we could get anything more than low quality service from this Quality Inn.

We moved to the new room to find that a light fixture was unplugged because some of its wiring was exposed. Between the AC in the other room and this light fixture, clearly maintenance at the Quality Inn is wanting in quality. Moreover, both rooms seemed less than clean, or perhaps clean but old and so there was just a dinginess about them. The hotel felt outdated. To top it off, my husband awoke to find a baby roach next to him in our bed.

With all of the moving around around 3 am, my daughter was up until 4 am, leaving my husband to walk her up and down the halls to get her to use up her energy reserves. She was a hit with everyone who crossed paths with her, including two young ladies of the night! Is this what they meant by "quality" in Quality Inn?!?!?!?

My uncle awoke near 9 am but the rest of us were out cold. My uncle did get us a later 1 pm check out time due to all of the hassle the night before. Besides that, the daytime front desk clerk offered him a coupon for our troubles --- only problem was that that coupon was for this very Quality Inn and from the FREE rest stop travel book that we already had!

I won't be using that coupon: Only mortal danger will force me to ever stay at this or another "Quality" Inn again.

Flying out of Buffalo to Boston because it was much cheaper than flying out of Toronto, we decided to book a hotel to stay at the night before the flight. Assuming that Quality Inns had a wide distribution in th US and Canada and would have some sort of standards to maintain, we decided to book the Quality Inn at the airport. We were not expecting luxury, but we were expecting cleanliness. We got neither. The condition of the hotel was very rundown and none too clean. Next door were decidedly better establishments such as the Hilton, which appeared to be new and clean(in fact we ate dinner there as Quality Inn had no eating facilities). If staying near Buffalo airport, do some research before booking your accomodations.

Had an early flight out of BUF so we drove in from out of town the night before and figured I would take advantage of their park & fly package to save time in the morning.

This hotel is not well maintained and looks less than clean. The shower was the pits, the floor of the shower was mushy, like the relined tub had water trapped between the liner and original tub. The water pressure/shower head was a joke with not much water flow. The beds were minimally acceptable. The room was dull and in need of significant upgrades.

If we had to stay more than one night we would have left and found something better. I would not stay here again no matter how convenient it is.

I stayed at the Quality Inn Buffalo Airport for 2 nights. I could not make my flight Friday morning at 530am, so I booked a room for 2 nights knowing that there was a free shuttle that could pick me up. The man who picked me up was very nice, but he drove ridiculously fast! If I didn't have my seat belt on, I would probably be out the window.

When I walked into the hotel, the first thing I could smell was the chlorine from the pool. It was quite overbearing and was the only thing I could smell when I walked out of my room (thankfully, you could not smell anything from my room.)

Since I was alone, the lady at the check-in desk suggested that I should be in the room closest to the lobby, just for safety. I agreed and felt really safe and secure for my entire stay.

There was free continental breakfast from 6am until 9am. It was quite basic: muffins, tea, coffee, bagels, cereal, juice. But I have to say, they had the best blueberry muffins I've ever had! Their lemonade was delicious as well!!

I was in room 101. The room was quite basic and in desperate need of some cosmetic changes, but overall, it was a clean room. There was a self-controlled heater/air conditioner in the room, but

I was given two double beds, which I didn't need since there was only one of me, but came in handy....SINCE ONE OF THEM HAD BED BUGS!! I had never experienced this before in all my years of traveling, but it was bound to happen someday, and I was glad that I had two beds in the room when it did! Thank goodness my other bed was fine! (It was also surprisingly comfortable!)

The bathroom was quite large. The shower/tub combination was quite clean and had great water pressure. But on the downside...there was some mold on the ceiling.

Not that it mattered, but there were only 20 stations on the television. I found it quite odd that it had HBO, but not ABC. I didn't watch much tv, but I felt it was at least something to bring up in this review.

Overall, I would give this hotel a 2/5, and that's quite generous. The only reason why was because I had a good night's sleep and the lady at check-in was quite nice.

First room we were given had not been cleaned by housekeeping. Returned to Front desk. Front desk person, manager I think, complained about housekeepers.

Second room we were given had been only 1/2 cleaned. TV on. Went back to Front Desk. Same employee proceeded to curse housekeepers and warn me of their impending doom when she sees them next day, all the while with eyes glued to TV in lobby tuned to Entertainment Tonight. "What did she say?" she asked me, in regard to TV reporter. Really? I don't know lady, just give me a clean room.

Third time lucky!! This time I refused to drag luggage to newly assigned room. Told her to check herself. She sent trainee.

Rooms in need of repair. Room still wasn't as clean as should be as pack of aspirin on floor between bed and nightstand and garbages not emptied, but beds made! Our expectations had been lowered by that time. Peeling wallpaper. Didn't hear planes but guests on either side kept us up most of night. Early flight meant we didn't get breakfast that was included as didn't start until 6am. Front desk person who I checked out with I think perhaps couldn't speak? Or just didn't feel like it.
