We decided to cross the border to do some shopping and fully expected our stay at the Hyatt to be somewhat of a downgrade compared to our previous night at Great Wolf Lodge. Much to our delight not only were the staff incredibly helpful and friendly, we honestly felt each employee surpassed the hospitality of Great Wolf Lodge!
The lobby was beautifully decorated with Christmas trees and gingerbread houses for a charity fundraiser, the elevators were modernized with digital displays and touch-screen controls, the hallways were lightly scented and clean, and though we only had a standard room it was also impressive with how clean and neat it was. If there was an area of lesser strength it would be the outdated pool area. It's rather small with the surrounding area (sauna & change rooms) being equally small and outdated. My family and I felt the addition of early morning swim times (on weekends) plus a hot tub would also greatly increase the profile and attractiveness of this top quality hotel.
The parking situation is a bit overblown in my opinion. Granted, you do have to park in a parking lot across the road, but the rate is reasonable (we only paid $6 for 1-night/2-days) and the walk will take you less than 3-4min to get to the front door.
Overall we had a great experience!
