We were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful lobby area, people at check in desk were courteous and prompt. The bell man was very helpful, we found that the keys did not work once we reached our room on the 9th floor- the bell man and other hotel staff on the floor were very apologetic and quickly fixed the problem. Room service staff was prompt and our rooms were clean every morning. Bed was large and comfy- we arrived after flying from halfway across the world, it helped to have a nice long sleep. Place was quiet- no disturbances.
On the flipside, the shower was kind of weird- kept changing the water temp of its own , but we took a leisurely bath and weren't too bothered by this. Also found some spots on the carpet which kind of grossed me out, but we were too tired to care I guess!
Room had coffee, but no minibar/ fridge which made it slightly difficult for us to store babyfood and milk.
We were very happy with the restaurant food which was good and very reasonably priced. The deco restaurant was very good- we had a 12 dollar breakfast buffet that took us though the day! We also had lunch one day- nice sandwich and soup for about 10 dollars. The clam chowder was excellent.
Overall hotel provided what we expected - more value for money for us since we booked through priceline. Not too much to do around the hotel , you need to take a cab to go dine out. Cabs are available right outside or the front desk is happy to call one for you. But was very close to the hsbc center , which is where we needed to be. Place is also walking distance to the greyhound bus station - if you need to get to Toronto you can catch a bus from here.
