This place makes a killer pizza pie, just DON'T get it loaded with too many toppings...or get the awful-the-only-time-i-ordered-it "brick oven style" whatever that means. Their cheese and pepperoni is a perfect example of what pizza in Buffalo should taste like. I look forward to trying one of their Florida locations to see if the flavor stacks up
Their subs are pretty average. I have made the mistake of ordering a few different kinds just to see if the last one was a fluke. My friends like them just fine, but I won't ever get one again. They are so unremarkable that I've avoided ordering any of the italian specialties out of fear of disappointment.
If you want a slice to go during the day, they now send you to the middle take-out lunch area, where old pizzas are sitting around getting cold. If you're lucky, the person they have manning that area might actually warm it up for two seconds in the nearby toaster oven. Skip the slices, and order a fresh whole pizza...there is no comparison! Also, large cheese and one item pizzas are only $10.99 on Mondays and Wednesdays!
The attached bar, JJ's is also a nice place to grab a drink, watch a local sporting event, and share a pizza. The bartenders are usually friendly, and they have a decent draft selection.
