“A very nice place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2014

We have been to Panos for dinner and for brunch. The food is very well prepared and reasonably priced. We keep going back when we are in Buffalo.

When we arrived for brunch the place was already quite busy, with people inside and outside on the patio. Apparently smoking is allowed on the patio, and, but for that, I would have given it a 5 instead of a 4. Nothing ruins a nice meal as much as a smoker sitting at the next table. If you go, it's best to sit inside if you are not a smoker.

The decor is modern and well done. The service was attentive without being intrusive. Overall, it is an excellent choice for dining in Buffalo.

“Big portions average food”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2014

Went to Pano's while visiting the Elmwood Village in Buffalo a few weeks back. I wanted to see how the greek food in Buffalo stacked up to what I was used to in Toronto. It was a beautiful summer evening and we first tried to sit out on the patio adjacent to the sidewalk. I didn't realize that you could still smoke on patios in the city so we decided to move just inside. Although we still were able to detect the smoke we remained at the table. The service was excellent and we ordered the greek souvlaki dinner. When the dinner arrived it was slightly cold. The pita bread was a little stale and the tzatziki sauce was tasteless. I wasn't even sure if it was actual tzatziki sauce. The chicken was tender and cooked well. It was a shame that the rest of the dinner was below average. The atmosphere in the restaurant is slightly dingy with yellowish subdued lighting. The place was quite bust the night we went but when I spoke to the locals many said that the restaurant wasn't what it used to be. If the food was better it would be good value for the money. Not sure if it wa just an off night but I won't return to find out.

“Wonderful restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2014

Panos in on the bustling bohemian area of Buffalo It is a two story restaurant with an outdoor seating area both downstairs and upstairs. The menu is extensive and everything is very good.. Only one warning.. if you like crisp bacon on your sandwich tell them to cook it thoroughly. My bacon/turkey melt had semi cooked bacon that was chewy and I ended up taking it out of the sandwich. Otherwise everything was terrific. Service was wonderful and they did not hurry us up to turn over the table even though there were lot of people there for lunch.

“Great Food and Great People”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2014

Pano's does live up to its television commercial. The many times that I have been here, the food is always served quickly and well by usually a very friendly, courteous wait staff person. I keep returning because the food is good and the prices are very reasonable.

Located on Elmwood Avenue in the Elmwood Village, Pano's enjoys an energetic age clientele from infants to the seasoned senior crowd. You can dine quickly or have a leisurely meal with out the pressure of leaving right away.

This passed Friday evening, after leaving Shakespeare in the Park at intermission, we stopped in for dinner. Our beverages, soup, and salad were served right away. However, the entrees took seemingly forever to arrive. After a thirty minute wait, we were told that there was a mix up in the kitchen and our orders would be served shortly.

This was after 9:00 PM and the number of diners was waning. The situation was quite unusual for Pano's in my opinion as a frequent patron. The requested entrees were served about ten minutes later. Our wait staff person apologized for the delay and comp us for dessert.

I do understand that there can be a glitch in any restaurant's performance and kudos to manner in which this faux pas was handled. Pano's is a great meeting place which serves very good food reasonably priced, and has a most courteous, respectful, and accommodating wait staff which makes the dining experience most enjoyable. I will be returning again.

“Trendy, Chic but think twice before orderng their entrees”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2014

We were 4 business friends together for dinner, 20 mins wait, we had a good waiter, busy place, enjoyed the appetizers, ordered 4 entrees most of them come with a salad, entrees came and all of us walked out with more than half of the entree in boxes. WATCH OUT FOR THE PORTIONS and if you can manage your dinner with your appetizers and you may have room to enjoy the desserts.

Tip: Be there on a Tuesday evening to enjoy street party scene with live music and performances that begins around 8 p.m.
