“Pineapple ginger margarita anyone?”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 3, 2013

This resto came as a recommendation from the nearby Richmond Place Inn. Good choice! The food was very good. And the pineapple ginger margarita was a unique twist on an old favourite - very satifsying experience. Be warned though..this place is popular (for a good reason) so you may have to wait for a table.

“Fun but hectic”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2013

We went last week, couldn't get in one night, made a reservation for the next night at the only time they could squeeze us in...9:00 pm. As other reviewers have noted, the food is very good - great burritos at great prices -- and the $6 margarita was excellent. BUT...it is super-noisy. I mean, noisy to the point where you're shouting to have your table-mates hear you. Now, this didn't matter to most of the patrons, who were 21-29, and happily imbibing and shouting to their hearts' content. I'd go back, it was fun, we enjoyed it -- but it's like being inside a blender while they're makin' margaritas.

“Great place for a 'Rita!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 31, 2013

Stopped here for an impromptu happy hour last weekend and it was fantastic!! Had heard about it from several people and can say it lived up to the hype. Enjoyed a few margaritas and the veggie/cheese quesadilla was very delicious and fresh tasting!! Get there early to get a seat-it filled up VERY quickly. Overall a great value and a really fun atmosphere!

“If you want the right price, amazing food and great service I recommend Cantina Loco!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2013 via mobile

I just want to start by saying prices, prices, prices; this place is so cheap for some of the best Mexican food iv ever had. Also, they are very generous with the portion sizes. The drinks are a pretty good size for a reasonable price as well. I live about a block away from this restaurant so I go about once of week. The service has always been impeccable, most of the bar and wait staff know me and always say hi. For the food I just want to say this is really a Mexican restaurant.. Don't go here expecting a cheese burger and fries. From the menu I would recommend the chips and queso, any of the quesadillas, nachos and the peanut butter crunch bar. Drinks I would recommend the house margarita or a mojito. This place is extremely busy all of the time therefore I would recommend calling ahead if you don't want a wait. Try it, I can almost promise that you'll love it!

“great food and drink at reasonable price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 1, 2013

Hadn,t been to cantina loco all winter, nice weather made us think of mexican food. Called shortly after six, hostess offered a table at six-thirty. Surprisingly several tables had young screaming children.....not really a family place. Creative drinks focus us tequila. I love the smoky margarita made with mescal. I think just the salt is smoked, but still great. Large pitcher is about $25. Soup dujour was a pablano clam....just okay. Other app was tamal from the reg menu...great. I almost always have the skirt steak...delicious with chimmicuri and tasty rice, black and pinto beans. Good value at $13 or so. Partner had the pork enchiladas (made with carnitas, not pulled pork)....very good with same sides. Dessert from specials list...chocolate peanut butter crunch was like a candy bar....way too sweet for me. Restaurant is wildly popular...make a reservation. Be warned....noise level is extemely high. Great spot.
