Papa Jake's Saloon is one of those local neighborhood bars that have become known for their food from seafood to the grilled meatloaf. Papa Jake's definitely has the "Saloon" setting with center bar, surrounding tables and uncushioned wooden booths. The menu consists of the staple Buffalo cuisine (i.e. Fish Fry, Beef on Weck, Wings, Steak Sandwich, etc.) as well as a variety of seafood items such as steamed clams, crab legs (snow & king), clams casino, lobster & Tuna filets. The food has been consistently good although the service can sometimes be lackluster. The beer selection is good, but wines are very limited. Papa Jake's has quite the local following, so can get quite busy at times, but generally you'll be able to walk right in and get a table. I would definitely suggest Papa Jake's if you are craving food, especially seafood at a reasonable price. It is in an awkward location for parking especially if you are going for the first time. You can park on the side street next to the restaurant or in the parking lot across the street after 5pm. Has an outdoor patio during the summer.
