I have mixed reviews about our 2-hour ride with the Medora Stables. It was a peaceful ride through the badlands and grasslands of ND and I really enjoyed it. My horse, Rushmore, was well mannered and was the only one that didn’t eat its way through the grasslands, though I had to ensure it so. Our guide got us all on our horses, through the ride, and back in just 1 hour and 40 minutes, but the rest of the time he just talked to the female junior in college that was at the front of the line. My wife asked him for some help with one of her stirrups and he said it looked fine, not even coming over too look. It was very stop and go and I felt that it could have been a little longer, since we paid for 2 hours. Service was good at the stables, but be ready for a walk, as the parking lot is at the bottom of a hill and the staircase up the hill is very steep. If you do go, the two hour is good if you have gone before, defiantly try the one hour if you haven’t. It will get you more used to the experience and get you ready for the soreness.
