We spent a week there one day.
Now, it is best hotel in Cottonwood Falls, Kansas, no doubt, but that says it all... there is NOTHING to see or do here. But get your wallet out, because nothing costs something, at the Grand Central.
Dinner: Steak, small potato, and a wilted salad - NOT PRICELESS.
Room: Yippee, Cowboy decor!!! Scratchy towels, no phone service, no internet, TV is a 9 inch screen.
Town: Cute, so lets sit outside and watch the ____? Nope, nothing happening there either. A pickup did go by - it was faded red. Driver nodded at us.
Later, after the excitment was over, no one was there, or, I mean to say, the hotel was empty. No guests to talk with, no staff - nothing.
Twilightzone kind of creepy... Let your self in, and let your self out.
So its like Mayberry RFD without the folksy charm or the people, and it's expensive; you pay for all that nothing. $170 for the room, before tax, and $60+ for the steaks; too much for so little.
Advice: Keep driving Toto, and faster, and don't stop until we are out of Kansas!!!
