“A Piece of Americana”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 7, 2013

We have stayed at the Little America in Flagstaff several times for weekend get aways. The atmosphere reminds me of Split Pea Andersons, old school touristy. The furnishings may be a little dated, but all the staff is very friendly, the rooms are large and clean, and the Lobby has a huge Wood Burning Fire Place. The hotel grounds are surounded by woods and hiking trails. During our most recent visit they had horse drawn sley rides through the forest. There is also a nice playground for kids. The hotel is a short drive from downtown Flagstaff, although there are also several restraunts in the immediate area (but not easy to walk to)

Room Tip: Request a forest view room. The kids are often entertained by squirrels and rabbits playing outside...

“Paused in another era”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 7, 2013

This hotel is just so nice, it feels like you stepped back to the 70's. This is the second time we have stayed here - I love this place. The rooms are huge, clean and although the furniture is older, it feels brand new. This is a very quiet hotel, at least when we've been there. The back of the property has a beautiful view of redwood trees, pool and small walking trail. The front of the hotel does face the highway, but it is not loud at all. The restaurant is fantastic (they make wonderful eggs benedict) and they also have a full bar. There is a very nice gift shop just off the front desk. Perfectly located if you are on your way to the Grand Canyon, or just visiting Flaggstaff. Will definitely stay here again and again.

“A Gem of a place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 6, 2013 via mobile

Friendly front desk staff, the room was big, the decor had 19th century style but all items were new, undamaged and clean. It was a nice change from modern, contemporary accommodation in hotels these days.
the hotel grounds are huge, nicely landscaped, have lovely walk paths. The outdoor pool is not big ( perhaps too small for overall amount of rooms) but maintained well.
Didn't have food in hotel ( ordered Chinese takeaway) so can't comment on this.
I highly recommend the place, I would definitely stay again.

“Very nice hotel.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2013

This is quite an older hotel and that's what makes it great. It's nestled in the pine trees and quiet. (Still close to everything though). Rooms are large and very clean. There is a 2 mile walking trail and a very large pool/hottub behind the hotel. Food was top notch and the service was second to none.

“Lovely and comfortable.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2013

There's really not one bad thing to say about Little America. Friendly, comfortable, quiet. Yes, the rooms are a bit formal compared to some of the big chains, but clean and well maintained. No elevator to second floor.
