“A pleasant surprise”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2012

We stayed in Little America for 2 nights while visiting the Grand Canyon. This was a great hotel. It feels like something right out of the 1970's which is very cool because it is very clean, well kept and the staff is very professional. We had a great time. Everything is in perfect working order (you know how some older hotels have gross ice machines or lights that don't work etc). Everything is new or fairly new and upgraded consistently. The pool was a great experience for our 10 year old son. We ordered room service twice and the food was really good! Yet another great surprise. We literally checked out of the Four Seasons in Scottsdale and came to this place and we were really happy with it.
We stayed in the Wet Bar suite which was cool. I felt like I was on a hotel suite back at the Sands or Flamingo in Vegas in the 70s. At any moment I expected Sammy David Jr to walk in with a drink!

Room Tip: We stayed in the Wet bar suite and it was great. However, it was on the second floor and there is no...

Cold pool, lukewarm hot tub, hard beds, AC unit was entirely too noisy, only one of my room keys worked.Twice requested a wheel-chair for my mom with a bad knee, after hours of waiting I had to go get it myself. The on site restaurant has very good food.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your honest feedback and concerns. We apologize for Little America Flagstaff not meeting your expectations. We are especially sorry that the request for a wheelchair was not taken care of by our staff. A lapse in service, such as this, is certainly not the norm here at Little America Flagstaff and we are very disappointed to learn that this occurred. We will look into this matter, as well as the other items you mentioned in your review, to insure that we are providing the highest level of service to our guests. Please feel free to contact us to further discuss your experience.

We stayed in the room with the king bed. First, the room is very large and spacious with a sitting area. The room is much larger than any other hotel I've stayed in. The bathroom is large also, as is the shower. As a bonus, there is a second sink and mirror just outside the bathroom which makes it nice when getting ready in the morning. The room was clean and well maintained. If we had neighbors, we did not hear them. The wi-fi worked perfectly. The hotel grounds are beautiful. There is lots of green grass and open space. You don't feel cramped in at all. The pool and hot tub are enjoyable. One of the many great things about this hotel is the easy 2 mile hiking trail through the hotel's forest. You will find newer and more modern hotels in Flagstaff, but you won't find one as lovely or serene and peaceful as this one. We would definitely stay here again!

We stayed at Little America as part of our trip to Arizona, Nevada and California. Although close to the freeway, the setting was stunning and a walk through the hotel grounds and pine forest confirmed that we had chosen the best place to stay in Flagstaff. Rooms beautifully kept, spacious and clean. Only slight disappointment, as a lover of hot, not lukewarm food, was the buffet breakfast, an overpriced $13 for average quality. Otherwise, everything was great, very happy to have stayed there and would stay again in this beautiful location.

Room Tip: There are several rooms in different blocks, although don't think you have a choice where you st...

I stayed in Flagstaff for the soul purpose of visiting the Grand Canyon and this was the ideal hotel. The room was very spacious with a fabulous bath tub and the surrounding area of the hotel was gorgeous. It's such a scenic place with forests and mountains and so much fresh air! the hotel staff were really friendly and helped me book a minibus to the Grand Canyon park. there's a little garage/ shop/ diner on the premises and i had a fantastic and cheap breakfast there.
I would reccomend this hotel to anyone visiting Flagstaff.

We stayed at the Little America Hotel for three nights while in Northern Arizona. The hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming and the property met our expectations. The hotel is a little older, but the rooms were very spacious, clean and comfortable. The grounds featured an adequate pool and hot tub, a children's playground area, walking trails through the pines and a restaurant/lounge (didn't dine there so can't review that) and a sizable gift shop.

The location was very good-easy on/off from the Interstate, and located within a few minutes of downtown Flagstaff and stores such as WalMart and grocery stores. I'd recommend this hotel to others traveling to Northern Arizona.

One of the finest places to stay in Flagstaff. Have been to Flagstaff many times but have never enjoyed our stay so much. Large, super-clean rooms, large clean pool, walking trails, horseshoes, volleyball court, etc., etc. A must stay if your visiting Flagstaff!
