“Comfortable and welcoming hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 2, 2008

We booked the Hilton Garden Inn because the Hampton Inn was full and we took advice from other reviews on this website about staying away from the noise of the trains (they hoot all night).

The check in process was friendly and welcoming and the room very comfortable. Our only negative comment on our arrival would be that the Hilton Website's directions to the hotel say that on turning into Forest Meadows Street, the hotel is on the right at the top of the hill. In fact it should say it is on the right immediately after turning into the road.

Our room was at the rear of the hotel and fairly quiet although, there was some traffic noise, but we like to sleep with the window open so that may not bother others.

We found the bed very comfortable and there was an interesting arrangement on each side of the bed to adjust the firmness.

We paid a slightly higher rate to have breakfast included, as this is not in the basic room rate. It was an excellent buffet breakfast with everything that you could want.

The beds were hard as rocks, but I know some people prefer them to be firm. The room was clean, and perfectly comfortable, but not fancy. It wasn't that quiet - the walls are pretty thin, and you could hear the water running next door, the tv going, etc. They did have cookies at check-in, but they looked old and unappetizing. Breakfast was pretty good, but you have to pay extra for it.

Just stayed 4 nights at the Hilton Garden Inn whilst on our vacation to Arizona (The Grand Canyon). We found this hotel by chance and can thoroughly recommend it. The staff were very polite and knowledgeable. Rooms very smart, clean and kept very well. Would certainly stay there again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Flagstaff.

We needed an overnight stay on our way to Boulder City, and tried this as a change from Williams, although overall we prefer Williams. This hotel is a bit out from the old Historic District and the nearest lounge is a bit of a walk. However, it has its own dining room and the adjacent Cocos restaurant is really excellent. Cocos has a little bar, but with little atmosphere. The Hilton Garden Inn staff are extremely friendly and chatty and they will sell you a bottle of wine for $13 that you can drink in their line and relax for the evening. Overall a nice hotel and good stop.

We stayed here one night while visiting my dad in the hospital over the weekend. We had stayed in the Ramada West the previous night and we were so releived to have such a comfortable bed at the Hilton Garden Inn. THe room was clean and comfortable. THe staff was warm and friendly. The only negative I can provide is that the hallways smelled a little smokey, but not the room.

We always try to stay at Hilton family hotels when we travel. This hotel lived up to all the recent positive reviews that I read on Tripadvisor, so I felt we'd have a pleasant stay here. And we did.

The room was nice, simple but comfortable. The morning buffet was plentiful. The 24-hr complimentary coffee came in handy several times during our stay. I'm sure the cookies & muffins at the front desk were good, too, but we didn't try them this trip.

Having a business center is such a great feature. It's great for checking emails, travel plans etc., so it's not just for business travelers.

Finally, as several of the other reviews pointed out, the staff at this hotel is great. They do make you feel that they are glad you chose to stay with them. Bryan Boydstun, Front Desk Manager, welcomed us with enthusiam and friendliness. He gave us numerous pieces of information about local spots to visit for fun and also suggestions for dinner. Nice to see someone who enjoys their work. Every employee that we saw during our stay greeted us with a hello or smile.

Next trip to Flagstaff will have us staying at the Hilton Garden Inn again.

We had to go to Flagstaff in a hurry because of an illness to my sister there. We almost didn't choose this hotel because of it's low rating on trip advisor. We took it because we didn't have time to search for others. From the moment we arrived and the front desk gave us two bottles of water, all the cookies we wanted, and listened to our tale of woe we sensed we were among friends. This hotel is better than rated. Everyone was nice from the manager to the maids changing the beds. Every thing was done right, from the very clean room to the really hot hot tub.(even the pool was warm). The business office was available 24 hours a day so I could send e-mails home to the family. The Breakfast was good (eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, waffles, fruit, buiscuits, cereal, etc). Much better than most hotels. They even let me extend my stay one day at a time until the Hospital released my sister. I can highly recommend this hotel!
