“Nice clean room for one night stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2012

This hotel was easy to find and was right off the main road through town. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. My only complaint was that our room was next to the fitness center (#124) and we were woken up at 7:00 am by someone slamming the weights around. The included breakfast was standard, waffles, bagels, muffins, yogurt, cereal, coffee and juice. It was well stocked and fresh and the dining area was full of people. I didn't realize that this hotel caters to pet owners. I think we were the only guests who didn't have a dog! Surprisingly, our room showed no traces of pet fur or smelled of dogs. Overall, a good stop for our weekend getaway.

Room Tip: Avoid Room 124. It's next to the fitness center and we could hear the whirring of the treadmill...

We were traveling with two Geman Pischers. We found La Quinta Inn & Suites Falgsatff very dog friendly and the room was clean and spaceous.
We loved the king bed, very comfortable. Complementary breakfast was offerred with good variety and choices.
The satff cleaning the breafast area was very efficient and polite. The front desk staff were courteous. Workuot room is clean and nicely kept.
Free WiFi is perfectly working for our phones and computers. This is one of the most userfrindly place we've experience.
We will come back next time we visit Flagstaff!

Good central location...very clean and well managed. Pet walking area on site, with large comfortable rooms. Slightly pricey for LaQuinta and average breakfast for them. Super helpful staff and good Wi-Fi. Outdoor pool and hot tub.

Room Tip: Request a non-pet floor if you don't have one with you.

La Quinta Suites was surprisingly attractive on the surface. The common areas were very nice and the room was large. The goodness pretty much stopped there. The place was just full of children running unsupervised all over the place. The doors have no "closers" so that every time somebody came or went, the door slammed hard enough to shake every room nearby. The hotel staff seemed unable or unwilling to do anything about the chaos. We were on the second floor, about as far as you could get from the elevator, and then the elevator broke down. It wouldn't have been a problem except for the baggage. By the time I discovered that we had FEATHER pillows, to which we are alergic, we were past fed up with the place. The front desk didn't answer the phone, so I had to get dressed and go back to the lobby. A very nice young man explained that he wasn't on shift yet, that he didn't think they had any more foam pillows, and wouldn't know where they were if they DID have them, and that he would pass the message on. After about a 1/2 hour somebody brought us a couple of cotton comforters which worked surprisingly well as pillows. If the demand is so great, and so many people are alergic to them, why would they stock the rooms with feather pillows?

Room Tip: Stay someplace else if it's a weekend.

This is the third time we stayed here. This time we had a room on the 4th floor -- it was the quietest one so far. Only one glitch -- just when we got to sleep on a Friday night, some guest pulled the fire alarm. 15 minutes later we were all cleared to go back to bed. Good. It had been a long day of driving, and we didn't feel like standing in the parking lot. Lots of dogs here, but they were quiet. The breakfast is predictable and good -- eating area is marvelous! We really love this hotel, the LaQuinta points that you can earn, and the cleanliness of the rooms, despite the fact that they are "dog friendly" and we don't take a dog! Nice people at the front desk. Busy place, due to parents weekend at NAU, but all went smoothly.

My grandchildren could not even sleep on the hideabed. It felt like coils covered with a sheet. I travel often and have never seen a hideabed that cheap. We were on the second floor above the open air lobby and we can hear all the conversation from there. Especially during breakfast. Not only were we awakened by the loud voices we could tell exactly what was playing on the lobby TV. Clean hotel but will not spend money staying here again.

Room Tip: Avoid rooms overlooking the lobby.
