“Less money, more hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2012

We booked a room via Hotwire and get a room in this hotel.
The room was really big with a kitchen and a couch and a queen size bed. Our room was backyards.
The kitchen was clean and we had a good night.
The breakfast was surprisingly very good with coffee, tea, different breads, waffles, bacon, potatoes, scrambled eggs and cereals.
Check-in was at 12
We missed wifi in the room, this was only at the breakfast available.
We can recommend this hotel for staying, above all for visiting the Grand Canyon.
Please note: this hotel is located very quiet and not in the inner city of Flagstaff. For dining you need a car

“This hotel is now Sonesta ES Suites. Basically like an efficiency apartment. Average, but could be great with some updates. L”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2012 via mobile

We stayed here for two nights Labor Day weekend. It is nice to have a full kitchen and not have to eat out. We enjoyed cooking out at the grill outside and many children were enjoying the heated pool. Out was convenient to where we needed to go and pretty quiet when though it was sold out. The bed was not very comfortable and kind of small, though. The internet access was wired, which seems outdated. Also, there was an older, big TV (not flat panel) which got grainy reception and few channels. It was kind of like stepping back in time 10 years our so. the property recently changed hands so maybe they will be making improvements soon.

“Nice Enough”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2012

We just stayed here for 1 night. It's just changed from a Residence Inn By Marriott to a Sonesta ES Suites. We had a one bedroom suit that had a queen bed and a pull out sofa. All rooms have kitchenettes which are larger than I expected with full size appliances. The one bedroom suite was spacious. The room had good wifi service which was a plus. We didn't eat breakfast there because we had to be up and gone earlier than when it was served, but they do offer a complimentary breakfast. The televisions are a little outdated, they aren't flat screen, but more so the big boxy kind, but it worked so that was all that mattered. The room was clean and comfortable, I'd stay here again.

“A good place to stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2012

Stayed here for two nights with family me mbers. The suite was ample for all 3 of us, we all had our own TV's! Hotel was full so breakfast each morning was somewhat of a challenge, but the staff worked hard to replenish as necessary, the 2nd morning of our stay they opened an additional dining room and that was an excellent idea!

“Very,very kind Staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2012

We booked here at the last minute to stay for 2 nights over the weekend. The scenery around the area is quite gorgeous. Its not exactly in the center of flagstff but its only a couple minutes drive to the center of town. When we arrived, we were a few hours early before check in, so they gave us a list of different restaurants around flagstaff, so we took the oppurtunity to explore the town before it was time to check in.
The lobby if the residence has a very cosy atmosphere with a cafe area to eat or sit with laptop and use their wifi. Personal, I had no problems using the wifi and it was not particularly slow either. It would however be more convenient if the rooms themselves had wifi, instead you have to plug in your computer to use the internet in your room, but that doesnt help if you're using an ipod touch or a smartphone. The walk to the lobby however isn't far so that didn't bother me when I had to use their wifi.
We had a bedroom which comfortably accomdates a family of four. The rooms are small but cozy and clean. It has a refrigerator and kitchen, as well a bed, sofabed, tv, and bathroom, the essentials. The amneities however, could use major updates, such as the tv, the sofa, and the kitchen. But again, those factors did not bother because we aren't necessarily nit-picky.
The hotel also has a sports court, dog walking park, and a pool with hours ranging from 8 to 11pm (I'm not sure if their hours have changed or not). The sport court alllows you to play basket ball, tennis, or volley ball. The sports equipment can be reuqested at the front desk where the staff will gleefully assist any of your needs (again, nicest, staff, EVER). So we had a blast playing basketball, and tennis. The pool was also nice, theres a hot tub and pool. the pool ranges from 3 ft to 6 ft so you actually have the option to swim underwater XD. Another thing I liked anout the pool was that it is heated, and the pool towels are provided.
They also have a laundromat. Remember to bring alot of quarters! We had to go to the lobby to get change for a dollar which they gladly did. The cycles are lenghty, the wash cycle being 30 min and the dry cycle being 90 min. the laundromat area requires your room key to get in so you're clothing should be safe from any intruders.
The breakfast was also good, They have cofee, tea and other beverages. They also have waffles in which you actually pour the batter and the machine cooks the waffles (again, the staff lady showed me how to do it :D) And ofcourse there is toast and eggs and more.
So all in all, I would probably return to this hotel, the staff being the primary reason. They are extremely helpful, and if you need extra toilet paper, they will deliver to you within seconds (true story). The only con of this hotel is that it needs to be updated. If they do update the room amenities, then this hotel will just be amazing. But again, that friendly staff :')
