“Great place to stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 26, 2013

Not too impressed with Flagstaff (the City) on the whole, but the Radisson is a very good place to base. It has everything you need (except a shop of sundries) and the rooms are clean and prices reasonable. I will have to say though, their most sterling quality (and you can't say this about very many placess these days) is their service! I don't mean it is attentive and stifling, I mean everyone you deal with from check in to room service to bar and restaurant personnel are professional, knowledgeable, and just plain NICE! It was a pleasure to stay in this hotel. I would return to this hotel solely based on the people that work there. Had a few hiccups with the stay but all resolved promptly. The sleep number beds were fun to check out too. A well run and great stay!

“Fifth visit.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 25, 2013

This is our fifth stay at the Radisson Woodlands, this should say something in itself, however the hotel is not without its foibles

This time the service seemed to be genuine and freely given; on previous visits there was a slight hint of a fragile facade when dealing with front desk and main restaurant staff. I exclude Sakura from this statement as we have always had excellent service particularly from Rueben and Jeff.

The rooms badly need some money spent on them, flat screen TVs are fine but when the sofa is saggy it seems like a false economy. We always book a Parlour Suite and have never (Touch Wood) had an issue with the Sleep Number Beds although we would prefer there to be a door between the sleeping and living areas.

The bar can be a bit funereal mainly due to its enclosed position (I assume due to regulations) and lasklustre service however this year a delightful cheerful female Bartender made the world of difference on Sunday night and demonstrated how welcoming the bar could be.

The main restaurant can be cold (we visit in January) this is difficult to police with exterior doors at both ends and sub zero temperatures but other establishments manage.

In short we will be back next year and hope that some more money will be spent on renovating this welcome bolthole for two tired skiers.

“Nice Place to Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

We spent 2 days in Flagstaff and booked the Raddisson for 2 nights. Very nice. The staff was excellent. The manager even brought a heater to restaurant morning we were leaving because it was so cold. We got the rooms with Sleep Number beds. Did not like them at all and would definitely request regular beds. We did have a lot a noise above us at bed time. People taking baths, walking around. We did enjoy our stay and would go back.

Room Tip: I would stay on top floor.

“A real surprise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2013

We purchased a living social voucher to stay at this hotel, which in past experience has often times meant that a hotel is on its way out and desperate for people. The deal was too good to pass up so we made the trek up from Phoenix. We were happy we did. The lobby is open an spacious, decorated very nicely. The front desk staff was great, referring us to several of the beer places we were up here to find. The room is, well, roomy with sleep number beds which we had never used before. I found out that zero is not the number to go with. Our deal also included a credit in the Teppanyaki restaurant in the hotel, and of course in addition to the food, part of why you go to one of these is for a show. This place was great, not what you might expect from a Japanese restaurant in Flagstaff, AZ. Ruben was our chef and he might have been the best Teppanyaki chef we've seen. So, we don't come to Flagstaff too often but we now have a base when we do.

“Friendly and efficient”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 19, 2013

Stayed 1 night here in Jan 2013 as I was skiing at Snowbowl. The reception was efficient and the rooms very clean, as you would expect at a Radisson. Also a relaxing bar area where it was nice to be able to unwind at the end of a long day.
