We have stayed here for the last three years and have always felt welcome and comfortable - breakfast and the manager's evening reception are great as well. This year (perhaps because of the reviews here) we did notice some shortcomings in hall cleanliness and age of the decor but we still had a very good stay and our room was impeccably cleaned every day. Given that it was cold in Flagstaff - we had snow in late May! - the heated pool and hot tub were very welcome. One more thing; the chap at the front desk was very helpful and friendly throughout our three day stay, only sorry I don't remember his name.

The hotel was mediocre compared to other Embassy Suites. We arrived at 4:30 PM and the room was not ready. The front desk promised us a $10,00 credit but, after returning to the front desk 3 times were told that,"because we booked it on line and it was prepaid, the accountant would have to issue the credit in a few days" After 3 voice mails with no return call from the accountant I, reluctantly write this blog.

We're a family with 2 young children. We reserved a 2 bedroom suite which is really 1 bedroom with living room with a sofa bed. We were told all rooms have been renovated. The one we got was nicely decorated with comfortable beds and pillows, quiet A/C unit, clean tiled bathroom with granite tops. However, the sofa bed mattress was horrible. We complained about it the next day and the hotel immediately put us in a 3 bedroom suite so we didn't need to use the sofa bed.

The made-to-order breakfast was delicious! So many selections available. The Mon-Fri Manager's Reception aka open bar was another treat after a long day of sightseeing around town.

The pool was not heated but my daughter liked the pool anywa. The jacuzzi was hot. The pool towels felt like big kitchen rags. Bring your room towels to the pool area instead.

The hotel is near many restaurants and across the street from Bun Huggers and Himalayan Grill which both had good food! Barnes and Noble bookstore is also across the street. There's a Target store a few blocks away.

Overall, my daughter thought the hotel was great!

Hard to believe this is an ES. Check-in was fine, but the hallway was the first bad sign. It felt more like a bargain hotel than an ES. The "suite" was so bad that we immediately checked out. I reserved a king size bed and got 2 full size beds. Everything in the room was horribly out of date and built very poorly. Everything, including the toilet, was crooked. The room smelled musty. You can get a much better deal in Flagstaff for 2/3 of the price. Stay away - this will taint your opinion of ES forever.

We stayed in one of the two bedroom, 2 bath suites for 2 nights. Upon arrival after a long drive at 4:30 PM we we're informed our room was not ready and we needed to wait 45 minutes for our room. When we got to our room, there were no hangers, one of the TV remotes worked, none of the 3 phones worked, although while one was in the cradle you could hear music and talking coming out of it all night, and one of the smoke alarms was popped open with the battery missing. We reported this to front desk 3 times, no one ever came up to address any of this. On top of that the furniture was well worn with large chips out of it. We went down for the manager's reception like we do at other Embassy's and they wouldn't let the kids in to get soft drinks, and we're pretty rude about it too. The good things were that it was quiet and the breakfast was excellent. They do need a larger area for breakfast, but there's no way to change that, so expect a crowd. I'm loyal to Hilton brands when at all possible and prefer to stay at Embassy Suites with our kids, but if I return to Flagstaff I'll stay elsewhere.
