Stayed at this charming B&B for one night, but wished it was longer. Just about 6 miles south of Flagstaff - close enough to get to everything, but far enough away to be away from the noise and traffic of the city. At first glance, it seemed like fairly bare bones accommodations until we took the opportunity to look around a bit. Despite the unusual sub-zero weather, the lodge was cozy and comfortable with a dining area with fireplace, a quaint sitting area with soft music and plenty of information on local activities. Another separate living room had a tv, ample sitting space, board games and books for extended stays. Breakfast was yummy and service was warm. The room, though small had a comfy bed, warm fireplace and all basic amenities except at TV (something I rather enjoyed) I wish it was warmer outside so we could have enjoyed the patio and hike in the woods behind the property, but that will be something to look forward when we return in the warmer months. Next time I'll bring more people up as it seems it would be a great getaway for family and friends to share. Definitely worth checking out.

My wife and I stayed here for two days while travelling in the Flagstaff area and enjoyed the quite atmosphere and the fine food. The lodge is about 10 minutes from downtown Flagstaff and there are no stores around, except for a gas station about 1.5 miles away however this was not a problem for us.

No TV in the room but a nice common area on the second floor. Also the rooms do not include a hair dryer however the staff quickly rustled up one when asked.

A fine place to stay to get away from it all but still close to highway and town.

This B and B is a good place to stay if you want to see the sights of the Grand Canyon and Sedona. It is conveniently located to both-about an hour and a half to the Grand Canyon and half an hour to Sedona and there are many other scenic sights to see that are located nearby. The staff was warm, the breakfasts were good and the b and b was very clean.

Many complaints of B&Bs center on the forced interaction of either guests or staff in such a small place. Not so at Abineau. The lodge is large enough to not feel like you have to see other guests or the proprietors if you would prefer seclusion. Its location outside of Flag is perfect if you want the quiet of the country with convenient access to the city.

That being said, Wendy, the proprietor is spectacular. I was staying solo, and she told me about her experiences as a lawyer for one of the Native American nations in the area during breakfast. (I'm a law student, so that is a particular interest of mine.) Breakfast was delicious, and the room was just lovely with a California king bed large enough to play Twister on.

If you're looking for a place with an enormous bathroom, this isn't it, but it was adequate for my stay.

I'll definitely be back sooner rather than later!
