“Got more than expected”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2013

Stayed one night during the week before a hiking trip and the staff was very friendly & knowledgeable about the area. We received a pricing discount on the room through the hiking company. There was free soda & popcorn all evening plus free hot dinner with optional alcoholic beverages, long distance telephone calls, and a great parking garage. We were able to leave our rental car in the garage for 3 days while we were hiking at no additional charge. We got a room with a king size bed and it was very comfortable with a large bathroom and the a/c worked great. I would definitely recommend the Drury Inn in Flagstaff if you are wanting to stay in that area.

All Drury hotels are excellent places to stay when you are on the road. Dog friendly ( no extra pet fee) free hot "dinner", free alcohol beverages, free long distance, free hot breakfast and free popcorn 24/7. If you are on your way to the Grand Canyon, stop for the night at this hotel. A bit pricy, but the quality is there.

We stayed here for one night, en route from Phoenix to the Grand Canyon. The room was large, well furnished, comfortable, and with a very comfortable bed! The staff were very helpful, pointing us to various local amenities, including shops and a the cheapest gas station.

As others have said, they provide free drinks and food from 5.30 to 7 each evening, which is a nice touch. The food wasn't really to our (European!) taste, but a free beer while we looked through the local guidebook they'd given us to find somewhere for dinner was definitely a plus!

Recently stayed three nights here while visiting Grand Canyon. Pleasntly surprised that the moderate tariff included breakfast, heated indoor pool, undercover garaging and a happy hour, or"kickback" each evening with free drinks and hot food. The rooms were a good size, clean, well-equipped and comfortable. Staff were courrteous, well-organised and helpful. The general vibe was friendly and relaxed. The place is not flash, but well maintained and everything worked! If this is Drury's marketing strategy it worked on me!

We checked in after viewing the reviews on Trip Advisor. Have to thank the great folks once again for their input!! We checked in and went to our room. Were impressed by the size of the suite!! and the price for what you got was great! It was a two room king size suite with a balcony. The hotel was clean and impressive. We were checked in quite quickly and informed of the managers appetizers and wine and beer at night. We had been travelling all day so went out for an afternoon snack thinking it wouldn't be that much. They suggested an awesome place just down the street which we walked to and had a great lunch. When we returned, we were treated to the fresh popped popcorn and pop which we took to our room and relaxed. We had a couch, chair, desk, then a sink and fridge. The bathroom was very nice as well. Then the bedroom with the dressers, king size bed and balcony, chair. Was quite big for just two of us. We went down for the wine &, beer to find out it was quite a spread. There were hot dogs, baked potatoes, salad, soup, chips and tacos, chicken fingers, biscuits and gravy, and all the fixings for everything. Coffee, pop and of course the alcohol which I thought was just wine, and beer, but there were hard liquor options as well. Had we known it was going to be such a spread, we would not have had to have the afternoon snack..lol. Breakfast was the same with many many hot options, cereals, fruits, etc. Above your average breakfast included in hotels. We were so happy we booked an additional night there. The food was great, the popcorn and pop great, breakfast great!!! The front desk, especially Geneivive was awesome. And the manager as well. They had wonderful suggestions on things to do and places to go. Always smiling and pleasant, and welcoming. The staff was always watching to see everything was okay, the manager was out in the morning checking on breakfast, and lol, even mopping up and sweeping after guests spilled or dropped in the breakfast area. The room was spotless. If we are back in the area, would not even hesitate to stay there again. We did notice a lot of dogs around, but we are okay with that and you couldn't tell they were there unless you sat and watched them going for their walks. Thank you all for the wonderful stay!!! We were able to find a parking spot out front, but their main parking was at the parkade as they are right at the University, so not sure how that would have been had we had to park in the parkdade.

Only stayed one night on our road trip from Texas to California. It was a nice, big, comfy hotel room that was one of the nicer dog friendly hotels that we have stayed in on our many road trips.

Loved the area, we were able to take some nice walks with the dog. Breakfast was great and I can't think of anything more that could have been provided. As mentioned in prior reviews, the carpet seems a bit worn, but that's minimal for a place I would definitely return to.

We have been stopping at this Drury Inn for years as we transition between California and Colorado. It has been difficult to find a decent hotel that is well placed, serves breakfast, has a year-round pool, and takes my miniscule 6 pound dog. This popular Drury is well located, adjacent the university and within walking distance to many restaurants and downtown. This last visit was fine, but the place is getting a bit worn. The room was clean. However, the stairs from the breakfast area to the second floor were absolutely filthy, including some gum spots. The carpet in the hallway needs to be upgraded. Normally there is not a dog fee, but this time we had to pay $10, which is a supposed temporary fee - something about testing this fee and only at this Drury - huh? La Quinta, also a dog friendly chain, might be on my radar next trip through...

Thank you for your feedback from your past stay with us. We appreciate comments from our guests so we can improve our service. Yes, we are a popular hotel in a popular location! In regards to the pet fee, our three Arizona hotels have been testing that since the end of May and it has been extended to a few more hotels to test as well. It remains to be seen if this will become chainwide after the testing period. As many of our competitors charge more than $10.00 a day, it seems a minimal fee to cover the extensive extra cleaning and other issues that can arise in being a pet friendly hotel chain. Thank you again for staying with us and for your feedback. We hope to see you again!
