Great views, beautiful spot, too bad about the cows though

“Ashurst Lake - Love the area”

We camped in the outer area of the lake it was beautiful. The road is a bit bumpy but the grandkids loved the it, they laughed and enjoyed the ride.
There is lots of shade and fire pits. I would recommend anyone there if they want to get away from the city and all the noise.

“Washboard”

While the lake area is beautiful, we did not have an enjoyable ride up there. The road IS NOT paved. It was a washboard road from the get go. Had we known the driving truth, we would not have taken our sedan up that rutted road.
